I wish I had a good answer. There is not one.

I'm curious when the York punishment ends. If they win, guess still role 5D. Can't bring up any Dmen from LV only on an emergency basis. York not injured, so no emergency. This is so silly.

It isnt just about the goals. Its about overall play. He could make mistakes that dont end up in the net. The other thing is York is a player the Flyers have high expectations for and higher expectations mean a higher standard. York is also one of few players that will get better. Sanheim is not going to get better at his age, Seeler is not going to get better. Zamula will not get much better if at all.

The to play on the top pair is going to come with some big expectations and York is clearly doing something the coaching staff doesnt like..

It could evenb be punishment for something not even on ice related like being late for a team meeting or a practice or doing something "unprofessional"

As much as I’d like the Flyers to lose out the rest of the season I’m still really glad to see Coots play so well. Maybe he’s not done?

It's obvious after tonight that Torts was holding Coots back. Coots is back to his old self now that he's not afraid to make a mistake and incur Torts' wrath.

He's still a 40-50 point player easily if they have any form of a PP and he is out at least on one unit. Torts did not appreciate Couts' ability to read the game on the ice to make up for lack of skating.

Ridiculous they didn't play York. I guess it was Torts' last wish to bench him again. Sure, they won, but why hurt the team overall by going with 5 D-men?

I think a revitalization of Couturier, into a legit Staal like role for this team (for the time being...he's not going anywhere soon, sorry), is gonna boost Michkov and slingshot him into next year. I was fingers crossed for a top 4 pick, but this win was actually big and telling. The team obviously feels a weight lifted.

Also, for those who are screaming at winning....I do get it, but honestly, it's the NHL draft. If you're not getting the top pick this year you're not getting a projected franchise type prospect. it's not like the NFL where it's like "we need Hagans" and he becomes what you want and what the Flyers need, not just immediately, but ever.

Im actually really excited for the draft. York is gone. The leverage might not be there, but it is what it is....I didn't want to pay that guy what he wanted anyway. I wouldn't be surprised if that actually has something to do with it.

I heard that in Shaw's post-game presser. Shaw pulled a Torts and shot down the question. If off-ice, does that mean off-ice after Tuesday's game?

Couts almost 56% faceoffs won. Top 25 in the league. He is perfectly fine going to be as a 3C. No one else on the team is even close to that number.
