Now imagine how well he will do playing with Misa - xShoot4WarAmpsx
A man can dream, can’t he?
I suppose we have a shot.
Honestly, Hagens would suit MM well, too. I know he’s slipped a little because he didn’t set the world on fire this past year, but if you look at his skill set, the kid is a very talented creator. Heads up vision that reads the ice. Quick acceleration and hands. Attracts attention from multiple players and finds the open man. We could do worse.
I’d prefer Misa just like anyone else, he’s killin it, but Hagens could be a good combo with Matvei.
We’re in line for a pretty good player unless they go completely off board. Off board at 12 is one thing. 1-6 is another. |

I like Hagens. I do think he's dropping due to a lack of production, but the skills are there. I'm still enamored by McQueen. The size with that skill is pretty bad ass.

Couts almost 56% faceoffs won. Top 25 in the league. He is perfectly fine going to be as a 3C. No one else on the team is even close to that number. - Trox88
You dont pay a 3C that kind of money. If he was earning 3.5M per he would be perfect. At his salary him being your 3C , where he belongs, is a detriment |

Per Jordan Hall Cam York did not play for disciplinary issue, Brad Shaw said. Shaw wouldn’t go any further on what happened. Plan is for York to get back in Saturday.
As I speculated it was not an on ice issue - xShoot4WarAmpsx
When he dressed without playing last night, my first thought was of Bull Durham. I'm thinking maybe York called a coach a cork soaker???
On another light note, it would have been great if Torts said he didn't know why he was fired and Briere replied by saying "He should be a man and come into my office to find out"

Maybe he celebrated a little too hard after the Torts firing announcement was made? |

Maybe he could be the Brayden Point for our Kucherov Jr... but he could also be another small middle-lineup player on a team that's already full of small middle-lineup players.

His production on a very good BC team kind of worries me. I'm not sure if he plays on a line full time with Leonard and Perrault but you'd think he'd be scoring a lot more with those two. |

For that even being remotely speculated is a massive failure on the former HC. Now that Sanheim thanked him for his development, that will be viewed as another Torts success. Flip side, how many players development did Torts stunt? Example- Michkov was dominant last night. Torts get credit going forward for building the Michkov foundation? Or is Michkov let off the Torts chain to fully develop.

That's the thing I don't get with those who love to pump Tort's tires. Sanheim and Konecny were pretty good players in their own right before Torts got here. He put TK on the PK so if you want to say he made him a more well-rounded player, fine. But Sanheim? He had a bit of jump in points last year but otherwise, this year is basically in line with his career averages. I wonder if a more offensive coach could've made him a better PP player.
Tippett has clearly taken a step back this year. And cannot score on the powerplay
at all for someone who's supposed to be a scorer. Is that on Torts, Rocky or the player?
Not to mention he's basically antagonized York his entire tenure. Has York taken a step forward in his development?

If by remote chance the organization hires David Carle, then I would expect the current triumvirate structure to stay in place. Carle is not coming to an organization without having some input in personnel. Very curious where this HC search goes. |

It's rumored to require the perfect situation and a loooong term commitment to get him to leave Denver.
I don't see Carle wanting to come here given Philly's history of impatience and dysfunction. He doesn't want to be the next Hakstol. |

Don’t think he’ll ever be the scorer Point is, but he could be a young Giroux. He’s got a quick rip, but I dunno if that’s his game. Sneaky passes and great reads.
MM could be the scoring talent a new Giroux part Deux only had for a short while here. |

Im actually curious what happened here. You'd have to think things got physical right?
What ever happened between him and York def seems to be the final straw. Briere said it wasnt just one thing but clearly one thing but this seems to be the thing that cause Briere to say enough is enough.
It is at least clear both Torts and York both crossed a line hence Yorks benching and Torts Firing

I agree it's a long shot. However, the corporate structure implemented from Hilf gives that potential. Essentially the HC was supposed to be almost equal in personnel with President of Hockey Operations more a mouthpiece. If that structure still in place the HC and GM should be tied together for success or failure. It was strange because Torts was never viewed as the long term answer as HC when the team was supposed to compete. The corporate structure made no sense. Carle is in a prime position to name his terms. We'll see who is willing to meet those demands outside of salary.

For even the possibility a 66 year old HC would engage physically with a 24 year old player is a serious embarrassment to the organization. It would be unacceptable if it happened after a playoff game. To happen in a game playing out the string in a lost year should not even part of the conversation what happened. Unfortunately, here we are at the moment. The Gauthier situation pales in comparison.

Maybe 1 day your predictions of making the playoffs or having a real team might come true. Or the predictions of the down fall of the leafs (that was supposed to happen 2 years ago according to some here )

I don't think the "triumvirate" is gonna be a thing anymore now that Torts is gone.
It was only in place because Torts made a power grab in the power vacuum while Chuck was on the outs. |

Can’t we pretend that because his brother Matt played here that there’s enough of a Flyers connection where both sides would be interested?
And, Yknow. Money. Make the money nice.
I’m choosing to believe that he wants a shot at the big show in my head, and he has the chance to build back a once proud franchise. A discombobulated, sad sack, loser of a franchise, yeah, but hey, once proud nonetheless. |

According to DiMarco, Flyers and Dorwart are close on a deal now that Michigan State's year is over. Smart move by Karsen to sign with an organization who has abysmal center depth at the moment. If he can make the NHL and contribute as a bottom 6 center, that would be a nice win for the team. Low risk signing. |
