Marner, saving this team from disaster again and again. - Rare_Jewel
He’s a beaut.
Great tip by JT
Great face off win by JT to get immediate possession
Great shot by Willy
and Mitchy doing his thing all over the ice. |

Great move Willy - Woderwick
If he did that move when he had his chance in OT, the game is done.
Leafs played like complete poop, lucky to get the point. |

Really? Sweet
I’m loving it… it’s a blast playing stuff upbeat like that. We’re hitting the studio soon to record 5 tunes for marketing
It’s where I truly love bass playing.
Show up to the studio knowing the tunes, spend a few minutes tuning while watching the drummer record, spend 30 recording, spend the next 5 repacking the bass, then spend the rest of the day having a beer or few, smoking a j or few, and eating something unhealthy while watching everyone else try to match up.
I love going first lol - Dozzer
Well that’s great👍
btw, just when I’d thought that Tom Jones was the greatest artist to have come out of Wales; i was introduced to budgie👍🏿

I really don’t want to make anyone’s head explode on a Friday morning so here’s my take on last nights game:
You can’t win em all. It’s just one loss out of 82 games. Brutal schedule . Definitely some jet lag too, fer sure. Hard to play a full 60 with the brutal trip out west . Boys are all playing hurt at this point in the season. They’ve been playing so well lately, too. The boys really dug in and showed a lot of jam to come back vs the San Jose Sharks. So gritty. Every team loses games like this against bottom feeders like the scrappy Sharks. Even when trying to win a division (for once). These teams always get so up to play the Leafs. Proof? The Leafs are the only playoff team the Sharks have beaten in the last 29 games. Twice. It’s their “Stanley Cup”. Plus the Shark Tank is an intimidating environment. At least our top line looked really good against an 18 year old and an 20 year old. Anyway, they just lost a skills competition. At least they got a point. They’re in 1st place alone. Just more learning lessons for this group that is still developing .
Is there anything else I should have added??

Beauty passes by marner
Beauty goals by willy
But a rough game for woll. Out of position it seemed a lot of times.
Some defensive break downs by the leafs
San jose seemed too fast?
But the leafs salvaged a point, so still able to get 5 of 6 on this road trip.
Onto to the next game.

the Leafs 5v5 play is pretty bad. Against bad team you think they can at least carry a bit of the play at 5v5. more of a berube/systems thing?

Neither of Woll or Stolarz have been remarkably consistent. I'm still not sure who should get the net when the playoffs start. You might just go with the goalie who played the best against the team we end up playing in the first round. If you look at their GSAx trend, you see:
So it looks a little worse than it is because anything above the mid-point 0 line is at least a decent game (objectively - all sorts of other measures come into play here that affect this, but on the whole it paints a picture) - but the lines look pretty hurky-jerky.
Stolarz has only had 9 starts below league average this year - but the worrisome part is that 4 of his last 5 are. On the whole he's had only 35% of his starts be below league average. Woll has had 15 starts below league average this year, which is about 41% of his starts - and while his last two games have been poor, he was pretty good to exceptional in 3 of the previous games.
Trend-wise (the lighter blue line through the middle) shows that Stolarz on average is getting worse while Woll has been incrementally getting better. Granted some of that trend could be attributed to the fact that Stolarz's worst game of the season just happened against Colorado, while Woll's worst game was his first game of the season. |

This is sort of a farewell for a while. This place has become more toxic than it is worth and I don’t have any hope that the problems will be fixed any time soon. There is no willingness on the part of the site’s staff to take even the most basic steps to enforce the rules. Even attempting to politely offer some helpful advice from someone with experience moderating large forums is met with open hostility. Trolls are allowed to hijack entire forum threads off the rails with political diatribes, and red pill copy-pasta is a daily occurrence that is tolerated with a flippant attitude towards enforcement of the basic rules of decorum. Repeat violators are allowed to run rampant with impunity and the onus of moderation is placed on the members who are expected to do the moderators’ jobs for them.
This site is a defacto “nazi bar” and I am frankly done with it. Until poop changes for the better, I am gone. I came here to talk about hockey and not read a transcript of the latest Infowars show. If any of the cool people here want to keep in touch and talk Leafs hockey, then look me up on Mastodon. Of course, this will probably get deleted. Or, worse, it will probably be ignored and nobody will care. That’s the world we live in now.
Peace out and go Leafs! |

Ah, the mid-week 10:30pm EST start: always a bad time, and all the cranky gramps on here get their Depends in a knot.
Go to bed, don't even watch the first period... got a solid 9 hours last night and feel fresh as a daisy watching the highlights on YT. |
