If you start to go deep on Canadian bands it's a great music festival. Some absolute legendary punk bands like SNFU from Edmonton and Forgotten Rebels from Hamilton.

How have I slept on New Pornographers for 20 years? I'm listening to them on super heavy duty rotation and increasingly I feel this is one of the greatest Canadianish bands ever and one of the best bands ever period.

I'm 15 years late on it but that Daft Punk record Random Access Memories, I've been wearing that record out. Or Beck's entire catalogue I only really went deep on late.

I do this occasionally - deep dives into different genres that are not guitar based. But, having played guitar for over 30 years now, my music taste always circle back to the guitar. I do have a very wide base of genres that I regularly listen to featuring guitar. There are just so many fabulous players in every genre.

Wonder if he's got some long term thing that you can play with but is limiting. A mild hip or knee sensitivity or foot thing can make that split second difference even if you are not out of the game.

SRV was technically better than Hendrix. EVH was the GOAT period but it's all relative to taste and what folks grew up with as well.
