Sid staying late after practice to work with mcgroats koivunen and bemstrom. What do you think his next role in the org will be after retirement? |

Sid strikes me as a guy who would literally ride off into the sunset and live out his retirement life quietly in Cole Harbor. |

Sid is an amazing leader. Props to Bemstrom too. I know he spent most of the year with them, but they're also pushing him down the lineup. |

He just seems to private. I have no doubt he’ll continue to play hockey and train all the time, but just feel like it’ll be with whoever his inner circle is in his personal life, not as a public figure part of an NHL organization |

He’ll probably stick around longer than expected. Someone’s gotta standup for these guys when they are bullied around. What’s Rust supposed to do without big brother out there? |

There are a lot of reasons for a bicep tear. From steroids to not focusing on warming up properly before lifting weights. I would think getting 5 minutes of ice time might be something of a contributing factor. But I am not a doctor… never played one on TV either. Haha |

Expectations for both McGroarty and Koivunen should be tempered by 2 things -- there's a major difference between the AHL and the NHL and the TOI a head coach allots to you.
A perfect example of Bemstrom is a good example. He's producing in WB/S but he's was also getting TOI there which he hasn't got here.
If SILKY gives out TOI in the 8 to 10 minute range and quickly move them down to the 4th line - don't expect too much.
As a rumor monger [look, they all start somewhere]: SILKY Sullivan and Ryan Graves to the NY RAGS for 5th round pick in 2028. |

Hopefully the fact they put them on the top two lines means they will give them a real shot. I do agree with you though, Sullivan tends to cut off young players fast, so there is a real risk he doesn't stick with them. I'm hoping either management gave him an order to play them or he realizes the team really needs the reenforcement.
And also yes, don't expect their top potential right away. It's hopefully the first steps towards injecting some youth. McGroarty in particular is someone they needed: a forward with top 6 potential who backchecks. |

Not super comparable. Bemstrom is in his prime, and being in your prime in the AHL, a league full of vets and prospects, is a huge physical advantage. Bemstrom has a handful of years of not producing in the NHL under his belt now. McGroatry and Koivunen producing like they have at 21 years old is a lot more impressive than Bemstrom at 25. Not saying they will translate, but but their accomplishments have a different order of magnitude to them. |

Back to BOKO for a second --
DYK since the time BOKO came here roughly 2 months ago - the PENS record is 9-5-2 when he was rostered... and were 0-7-1 in games that SILKY Sullivan benched him.
Curley Howard claims, *that's a coINKYdink*. But is it?
With him in the lineup that's 102 point season! |

Pretty cool 21st birthday present for McGroarty to start on Sid's line. |

TOI is also a factor... Bemstrom was getting 8 minutes of ice time lined up with 4th line players here. If any of these players don't get the ice time the statistical results most likely will be underwhelming.

That’s objectively true, but Bemstrom would still be underwhelming in the top 6. These two have different upsides |

If Sid gets irritated in anyway with another player and Groats doesn’t drop them they should place him on waivers immediately. |

Maybe fake tough guy Noel Accairi will do something about it. Oh nevermind, he's not up for a new contract yet, so he won't fight anyone. |

Boko has been good in his role. I wouldn't mind him back. I do wonder if they can carry a 4th liner that doesn't kill penalties when they brought in an offensive minded 3C. Going to need a couple top 9 guys who kill penalties. Hopefully McGroarty is one. Rust can, but he's getting old and plays a lot already so I'd rather he didn't.
Not to mention, how many 4th liners do they already have signed next year? Lizotte, Acciari, Hayes, Heinen. |

Acciari gets a pass because he’s old and bad at hockey. Only young guys with some semblance of promise need to be goons to appease Grinder. |
