I needlessly spent money at M&Ms today and I don’t care

The small haddock tenders and jalapeño cheese sticks were tasty enough for me to to shrug and go “meh, good enough”

This goes without saying, because if you're matching up with the Sabres during the playoffs, you sure as hell aren't playing hockey.

I just tuned in Sportsnet. I don't know how true it is, but they're saying right now that the Sabres would've gone 82 and oh if they played Ottawa every game.

This Habs team deserves to make the playoffs. They found a way to stay alive and took a point away from Florida. Also took a regulation win away from Florida too. If the Leafs can beat them in regulation, tomorrow, it'll be an uphill climb for them to get to first. Both teams will have 7 games left, after tomorrow. They play each other once. Tampa also plays Toronto one more time and Florida once. If the Leafs can win 6 of 8, they win the Atlantic. Columbus will be no pushover on Saturday. They're on the bubble too. The Islanders are dead. Ottawa needs to wake up, as well.

This is a compelling argument and one that I feel we can unearth a significant amount of data to support. The race for the WC2 spot is a good one, one though.

. . . .all I can say is that Detroit has the uphilliest of climbs here and in the past and Montreal does look to have the lightest competition to close out the season. The Habs' last 9 games were a lot harder than their next 8 and they came out of that 4-3-2. I think if they accumulate 10 points in these 8 games, it might be enough to take the WC2 spot.

Sabres are an embarrassment to the NHL. They will miss the playoffs for the 14th time in a row this year. That despite picking in the top ten at the NHL draft 10 out of the last 12 years, including two first overalls and two second overalls. Bless you for cheering for this inept and poorly run franchise.
- winsix

They're doing the old 2006ish Leafs game plan of running the table beasting on people to finish the year to ruin their draft pick. Classic.

My parents (Georgian Bay) lost power on Saturday and it still isn't back up. Overnight freezing rain in Ottawa doesn't bode well. They said they fixed the power lines since the crazy 3 day outage years ago, but I'm not convinced
