Surprised how passive the Habs have been so far. Need to keep winning games and looking slow. |

Big game for the Flyers….nothing like a win streak to finish out the year and drop you 5 draft positions…maybe DB has another trick up his sleeve to get this thing turned around…win your final 9 games and feel good about the summer….draft 10th overall and take the 19th rated player …wash, rinse, repeat. |

Welp, looks like the clock struck midnight on Ersson- brutal 2nd goal. |

Ersson coming through in a must lose situation. Clutch.
Now we can root for a Michkov goal without guilt. |

It is very bad. The end of these last 2 seasons have proven Ersson is not a #1 goalie, which is fine. Decent backup for a late round pick is not bad value.
Every regulation loss is critical this time of year. As others have mentioned, Ersson was clutch in the 3rd period.

Buffalo gets at least a point, so now tied with Flyers in points. |

Dare to dream, but our Philadelphia Flyers could be in 4th place by the end of the night. Great day of hockey potentially. |

Regulation wins (lack of) will be a huge advantage for the Flyers down the stretch. Pens are close to them in futility, rest of the pack the Flyers are competing with to the bottom have a very good lead. |

Yes, please! I never root for them to lose but don't want them to have a decent streak and think that Shaw is the answer.

I feel good about their chances. The Flyers goaltending is just so bad, really bad. A bad goal goes in and the teams' energy just fades away with them being out of the playoffs. The sugar high of Shaw as interim is now gone. Rangers on Wednesday, then last 4 games in 6 days will be a tough grind for a team just playing to get to the summer and avoid injury.

Don’t count on the Rags showing up. They’ve totally quit. No compete in them. They want Lavy out too. |

Btw, I remember when Shane Wright dropped in the draft and was thought to be a potential bust. Just turned 21 with 41 points so far on a not very good SEA team. Cautionary tale about James Hagens potential fall in the draft. Would not be upset at all if Hagens will be the pick this summer. |

How is sticking with Shaw a good move? He is not different than Tortorella. He is a coach that is apparently going to put Deslauriers in the lineup over actual hockey players. Shaw is extremely overrated as an assistant coach and is simply not an NHL head coach. It would be a really poor choice. Hiring Shaw full time would simply be another set back. - MJL
In the pre-game interview Shaw basically said that no one has given him a chance in 18 years why would they start now. Do we really want that to be the leader of our team? Plus the whole playing ND thing.... |

Potentially, still think Shesterkin will be the difference in that game. Flyers save % before this game .879. Did not improve after the Habs games. Flyers will need to score at least 3 goals in a game at a minimum to earn any possible points in these last 5 games.

Shouldn't we want ND playing to enhance our chances at losing? Even if the Flyers are trying to compete, will Abols and Lycksell make a difference? They are career AHLers or NHL call ups at best. I saw the great one MJL earlier crying about ND being in the lineup like the 7-8 minutes is really going to make a difference at this point. That said, I do not want Brad Shaw as coach
