Have the Leafs beat the Sens once in the last three seasons? Feels like they haven't.
- AdamFrench

How many times did the Leafs beat the Bruins in the regular season and then lose to them in the playoffs?

You're probably right, the Leafs record sucks against them in the regular season the past couple of years but it's the playoffs and that's one franchise the Leafs can actually have confidence against.

Matthews has done very well against them over his career and maybe the fans will actually be motivated to make some (frank)ing noise during the games.

So you don’t think he’s American?

Is he or isn’t he American?

Simple question.

Yes or no.

I answered the question, you're just too stupid to know it. He's a dual citizen.

What nationality is Carney, by the way? Operated his business out of the US, has British and Irish citizenship and is pretending to throw all that away to get more useful idiots to believe his WEF bullpoop.

I feel like the years they used to dummy the Sens in the playoffs routinely they lost in the regular season to the Sens pretty regularly but it was a long time ago so maybe I'm mistaken.

Ok I googled it because I needed to know.

https://stathead.com/hock...rs-vs-toronto-maple-leafs

Looks like the Leafs lost more often than they won in those regular seasons except for in 2003 - 2004.

Also looks like 2023 the Leafs won 3 times in the regular season and have been owned by the Sens in the regular season since then.

I am ok with the Leafs losing to them in the regular season to beat them in the playoffs if that's what it takes. lol

The Senators would give the Leafs problems because of their style and work ethic but if the Leafs can't beat the Sens, they'd have no prayer against Tampa Bay or Florida, especially if they were both 100%.

Take out the weaker team whom you historically do well against in the playoffs and hope that Florida and Tampa Bay pound each other into powder.

So we say we are done with everyone taking advantage of us. And you cry about it like a spoiled child? Your government would be broke in a millisecond if you truly had to budget for your own defense?

You guys live in a bubble. The free ride is over. (frank)ing entitled female doges.

Well, since there appears to be no mods:

I'd like to know in what way the world took advantage of the US.
US companies voluntarily chose to move offshore for cheap labor, because of greed. Nobody stole the factories, or forced them to move, it was voluntary.
It was AMERICAN companies who flocked to China because they were greedy and wanted to open up new markets. It was AMERICAN financial advisors pushing Chinese stocks in the early 2000's, that gave China the capital they needed to modernize their infrastructure and make themselves competitive.
America lost it's factories, because their CEO's didn't want to operate were unions were strong, because labor costs were too high. It was a self inflicted wound, just like now,
Problem is, the guy you admire so much for his economic genius (who somehow manged to bankrupt several casinos), doesn't seem to know how the world economy actually works, nor the history of how it's worked for the last 70 years,
Grater than half of what Trump is saying is the reason for this...fightback or whatever he wants to call it, is provably BS.

And how TF will companies be able to afford to move back to the US, when the money business' need to build their new factories, is getting washed away in the stock market?

His stated goals

1. Bring back American manufacturing - as you noted, no capital to do so plus no reason to assume that the tariffs put in place will last the week let alone how long it will take to build new capacity. Tariffs and counter tariffs also pushing up construction costs.

2 Eliminate trade deficits with other countries - Madagascar runs a surplus because they sell lots of vanilla to the U.S. but are too poor to buy much American exports. How are tariffs fixing that?

3. Big revenue boost (national sales tax) to fund tax cuts for the rich. Revenues only continue if tariffs stay in place meaning goals 1 and 2 not achieved

Wrong. Trillions of dollars in investments has already started to roll in.

2 Eliminate trade deficits with other countries - Madagascar runs a surplus because they sell lots of vanilla to the U.S. but are too poor to buy much American exports. How are tariffs fixing that?

Wrong again. Large countries are lining up to negotiate how to bridge trade deficits. Smaller countries are being used a "stop over" to avoid tariffs on other countries so it's not always a direct tariff for the trade deficits. Like how Nike moved out of China to avoid tariffs but they rebuilt in Vietnam so they got tagged for it again.

3. Big revenue boost (national sales tax) to fund tax cuts for the rich. Revenues only continue if tariffs stay in place meaning goals 1 and 2 not achieved

Negotiation from a position of power will create more for the economy. You talk from both sides of your mouth. "He destroyed the market that keeps the super rich powerful but he only helps the rich with tax cuts". You're completely out to leftist lunch.
