I already have a pretty good grasp of history, and actually agree(!) that Carter, Clinton et al did some pretty stupid things.
But last time I checked, they were all American presidents, elected by Americans...
So like I said, a self inflicted wound.
It was Americas own idiocy and greed that led to where they are today.
So why TF should the rest of the world (and every American with a retirement plan) have to suffer so they can fix their own stupid mistakes?

The U.S. is $36T in debt and a structural change is needed. Tariffs are a necessary evil, to readjust the Global markets. The U.S. can't go any further until they balance their budget and start reversing 60 years of deficit spending. For the record: If the U.S. goes down, so does the Western World. The American Dollar is currently the world fiat currency. If you think it's bad in Canada now, you haven't seen nothing yet.
