I went to Wales for a couple of high school rugby tours in the 1980s.

In 1985, I stayed with a Welsh miner's family - this was just after the Welsh miner's strike, which went on for a year. Perhaps the kindest people I have ever met.

So I really like the human element. It really hits me how Wrexham has never really recovered from their economic heyday (which was never really all that great to begin with).

And it's very interesting to me because my brother-in-law is from Chesterfield. Their soccer team (go Spireites!*) went through the exact same thing - relegated to the National League, eventually winning their way back to the Second Division.

Sports science is always getting better, but that's pretty unlikely for a guy who has struggled to stay consistently healthy in his most durable period. But you never know. Crosby got murdered in his mid-20's and hasn't had an injury riddled year since.

How do you know they are in the U.S. illegally or that they are convicts and not American citizens who haven’t broken any laws? Without any kind of due process or legal review people are being thrown into hellhole prisons just on the word of ICE. The government has already admitted in court that they sent somebody they shouldn’t have by mistake.
