If one thing is boring this season.

It isn't the Habs.

- Scabeh

It's amazing how the race for the final wild card spot was so close - and then blammo! - it isn't.

If I'm doing the math correctly, Habs' magic number for all the teams chasing them is 3 - any combo of points gained by the Habs or points not gained by the other team.

And it's probably 2 for most of the teams, as the Habs will win the first tie-breaker.

so is this
- senstroll

I remember my dad bought my sister and I savings bonds in like 1990 or something..

We cashed them out in 2005 or something and it was like $200 lol..

That’s all I got. It’s just kinda bad timing for me because I’m in a good spot financially, so I’m not as “burn-it-to-the-ground” as I used to be.

Still like RATM tho.

Well the Habs going on their first 6 games winning streak since 2018 sure helped distance themselves from the rest of the pack.

Rangers are a mess, Islanders we're in sell mode at the deadline, Red Wings crumbled for the 2nd year in a row...

Game against Ottawa this weekend will be huge.

That is his deflection...he also says Mikita > Crosby

Not sure how it came up.

- AdamFrench

Mikita had some great years, finished with over 1400pts and 1.05ppg. If he watched him most games and was a superfan over the course of 20 years and didnt watch crosby as much. I could understand his bias....not agree with it but understand

He was always a good trivia question, as he was born in then Czechoslovakia. So for a long time, he was the highest scoring European player.

Edit: still 3rd! Malkin will probably catch him, though.

I was trying to be kind by simply limiting it to his uncle, but yes, I have strong concerns.

Quasi related to Leafs just a reminder (because I myself just remembered) Teen burgers are $4 at A&W on Leaf game days through their App.(Ontario Only). In case you were wondering - that is a savings of $4.79 on a Teen Burger - good god when did fast food burgers become so expensive?

Seems they also currently have a deal for dine in or pick up only on their app currently for a $9.99 Teen burger combo (fries and a drink).

And if anyone is thinking A&W has to be more expensive than McDonalds I just checked and a Big Mac is $8.09.

I ran into a McDonalds near my office last year to grab a quick lunch.

The Quarter Pounder combo meal was $16-17 bucks. I couldn't believe it.

Fast food prices have gone up so much, my friend who's a salesman has started using them in his sales pitches:

"You might think 50$/month is alot but come on, a footlong sandwich at subway is 18$. Are you telling my a full security set is worth less to you than 3 sandwiches?!?"

It's insane, fast food used to be cheap and the reason so many people were overweight because it was the cheapest way to feed a family etc. I'm not so sure that's the case anymore at all.

A full security set of what? And your friend has a good salespitch - putting things into perspectives that people can relate to is a great approach.

I like to use analogies when I'm explaining things to Executives who are really sharp people but don't know the nitty gritty and can get lost very quickly if you go deep into 'shop talk lingo' or technical lingo and when they get lost they focus on cost and generally that's a great path to a 'no we can't afford that'. lol

Not only has fast food prices gone up, the quality and quantity have gone down (much like with most things I guess).
A&W use to have the best burgers outside of Harveys.....now they are kind of flavourless imo.
I remember getting a big mac combo for $3.99 back in a day.

Agreed on both the A&W burgers having lost their flavour and the $3.99 Big Mac Combo. Better times back then.......lol

Shrinkflation is a son of a b!tch. Bought ketchup the other day, and the bottle height and width was identical. But when you grabbed that thing, it was noticeably thinner. Absolute bull$hit.

Phenomenal offensive player - but I’m not sure he’s actually reached 100pts yet. Maybe this year hopefully.
- Big23Questions

5 years in a row he's at 100 point per 82 game pace so he is effectively a 100 point player.

Wait until a radical leftist Liberal government prints so much money and runs such a massive debt that 50 dollars becomes 5 dollars of value.
