There is no better point in the season, vs another team thats out of the playoffs, to scratch Zib, Kreider, and whoever else... and to call up and/or start your kids.
Why not play Othmann and Perreault with Miller? Why not call up Roobroeck to play with Cuylle and Berard? Why not give Garand a start?
I understand this is opposite of what I said about the toxic environment, but if you take all those pieces out and just throw all these kids out and let em play then I dont have an issue with it. - aecliptic
This is exactly what they should be doing. |

Drury should be fired for not firing Lavy already. |

It's so obvious that Kreider is injured, why don't they scratch him? And Zib, because he sucks.
My god, make it make sense. |

This has to be a deliberate tank to end the season for the opportunity for a better spot in the lottery. |

And when they don’t win the lottery are they going to give a better pick to Pitt?
Edit: let’s say they tank and end up with 10th pick. Do they send the pick? If so just helping Pitt. |

The pick is lottery protected this year. |

Rangers can choose to send it or keep it and send next year instead (unprotected), I believe. |

If they end up with something in the top 10, then I think they gotta keep it. Id then try to trade back and try to accumulate more picks. |

Nice, the Rangers can score on a 4th string goalie. |

Denver was just eliminated at the Frozen Four. Fire Lavy right now! Hire Carle to be the new coach. No RETREADS! |

Ok so say they play hardball and don’t sign him and then he says you know what,
I’ll stay in school for two more years and re enter the draft.
How’s that scenario? That sounds like something youd go on and on about for a decade
They couldn’t (frank) around here. You guys are just impossible to please |

I'm thinking that his agent basically said he won't sign unless you burn a year. And if he doesn't sign this year he won't sign at all. NCAA players have all the power right now until the next CBA with CHL players able to play |

He’s 35! Would have to make him the youngest NHL coach ever.
Really interesting story (thanks ChatGPT for the summary).
Carle, from Anchorage, Alaska, played prep school hockey at Shattuck-Saint Mary's in Minnesota.
He was projected to be a second-round pick in the 2008 NHL Draft.
A medical exam before the draft revealed hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, a serious heart condition.
Due to the diagnosis, Carle retired from playing hockey.
Despite retiring, he was drafted 203rd overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning as a symbolic gesture.
He accepted a scholarship to the University of Denver, which was still honored after his diagnosis.
Denver’s coach, George Gwozdecky, offered him a student assistant coaching position.
After graduating in 2012, Carle briefly coached in the USHL with the Green Bay Gamblers.
He returned to Denver as an assistant coach under Jim Montgomery.
Carle helped win a national championship in 2017 and became Denver's head coach in 2018. |
