So my wife’s pregnant with our third and it’s another boy. We got the 2045 kid line on the way, which is something to look forward to

I don't think they will be worse at all. This team won the president's trophy last year, and the majority of the players are the same as this year. So what happened?

I think everything that could possibly go wrong did, but I for one don't think that this year's team is as bad as they've played. I still think that a LOT of this has to do with the defensive "system" that is still being used for some unexplainable reason.

Agree 💯

We just need more people like us

They also need a captain. Idk who that is, Imo Miller, but someone needs to be named. Leadership in the room is a must. They need move on from whatever happen this year without Trouba and Goodrow. And probably Kreider. I’d give Cuylle a look at least as alternate

Pass on Miller. Like I said previously, just because you play hard doesnt mean you are a leader.

I pull a Trouba part 2, throw a ton of money at Ekblad and make him captain.

Who knows if he is going to leave the Cats to begin with, but to throw tons at money at him for 7 years, will the contract age well?

I guess the organization is just labeling them as busts before the fans do.

Cats would be very very dumb to not try to extend Ekblad. But in the 0.01% they dont, would it age well? I think it would be fine in the 8.5m area, but the concerning thing is he has a tendency to miss 15-20 games a year.

Wonder how Boeser and Millers relationship is. Sounds like he’s going to be a free agent. We could use a RW.

My understanding is their relationship was pretty good, and had good chemistry together.

What Im wondering is if Zib is enjoying his time playing RW so much so that he may not want to go back to playing C.

Respectfully, I couldn’t possibly care less about what he may or may not want at this point. He’s got a NMC, and he has every right to exercise it. That’s really the only thing that matters with him right now. He’s got more stink on him than most others and management needs to do everything they can to try and rid themselves of this stink. I wholeheartedly agree that the team needs to rid themselves of Zib (along with Kreider), but Im also accepting of the fact that he holds all the cards.

Zib would be fine as 1RW if you haters would give him a chance. I know it means absolutely nothing to you, but he did have a 4 pt game the other night

If that’s true, I think there’s a strong possibility of that signing happening.

Lose Kreider and Zib (somehow) and replace with Boeser and Bennett. Trade for a first pair dman and we could be in business.

I never liked Boudreau until I heard him as an analyst. He’d probably be fine, but most likely another 2 year coach.

I think the knock on him is like AV. Good regular seasons but can’t win in the playoffs
