Felt bad for my neighbour this morning. He's got a Shelby car in his garage. Shelby pick up in driveway. Some loser cocksmokers stole the pick up right out of his driveway. Of course he comes to me cause I have a noticeable camera in front of my house for video....thats when I had to confess it's just a dummy camera and we've been faking it all these years... I've never seen a man so gutted.

In Lou's defense, he had never met Engvall, and Engvall's agent asked for a contract as long as Engvall's neck.

Lou quickly agreed.

Edit: OK, this joke no longer works.

Looks like right now, cheapest seats are about $360 per (standing room only slightly cheaper).

Judging by the amount of seats left, I imagine that will drop by 5:30 pm.

For years, my wife told me to upgrade my bicycle, which was over 20 years old. I told her I never wanted a good bike - I don't want to have to worry about it.

It's now the same thing with our car.

My wife was saying the same thing. No point driving a nice car anymore, it will just get stolen. Then I mentioned to her I leave my keys in the garage when I come home, I should stop doing that cause it will make it easier for thieves to steal my car. My wife kindly and sweetly reminded me that nobody will ever think of stealing it.

Yeah and the average bicycle has basically (frank)-all lifetime mileage on the odometer. Unless you're riding all the time, shiny new bikes are pointless.

Also everything that comes along is an 'upgrade' at the time because bike industry. Ask me how necessary (frank)ing pointlessly fappy internally routed cables are after I learned to replace them. They are (frank)ing stupid for me to have and I'm cranky about it.

Go Leafs Go.

Just got an email saying the released tickets for tonight's game which I think maybe they did but they had a some already unsold at face value. lol

I did see 300 level row 1 in the corners for face value right now (Sec 323 I think) which were $985 for a pair all in face value.

I think waiting and buying later is the way to go in the playoffs right now in Toronto, MLSE has priced these tickets way too high for a 1st round match up, I guess they saw Ottawa jacking prices due to it being the battle of Ontario and thought they would do the same.

Even at current inflated McDonald's prices, you could purchase 214 McDoubles for that.

I don't know if this is still true, but back in the early 1990s, before I had season tickets, I used to go stand in the lobby of Maple Leaf Gardens, starting at about 3:30 pm on game days.

Sometime between 4:15 and 4:30 pm, they would release all of the unwanted tickets by the away team - which were always greys in section 93.

It never failed.

I'm guessing the tickets they just released were for the visiting team.

I'd just be afraid to be in a crowd of 20 000 Leaf fans after a playoff loss. It'd be like Azkeban prisoner or something. All joy and hope drained out of your soul by the endless black void of Leafs Nation.

Like that bully Leaf fan who keeps slamming those Sens fans to the mat in the Sens blog comments both yesterday and today?

Could be or just a marketing ploy to make people who didn't know it wasn't sold out that they are suddenly getting an opportunity to buy tickets that weren't available previously.

I do think the row 1 in the 300's were not released until now and to be honest I didn't look at all the tickets available (there are a few) to compare to what was available earlier today.

i think it's a bit of both but who knows, all I do know is the prices are pretty steep even at face value!

Naw man, it doesn't work like that.

The McDouble price is a canary in the coalmine man. It's over 4 bucks now. Put all your money in sharpened sticks and stones.

Don't cry it's been awesome! I love even more that you were the first to post in their new blog, that poop is hilarious!

Back when i lived and worked in Kingston there were a lot of Sens fans at my work.

They were a Sensitive bunch (pun intended) and it was so easy to get them going, the one chirp I thought wasn't extra special but the guys at my work hated was when I would just call them the Kanata Hens.

I mean your team doesn't even play in the City they are named after how can you not expect to hear about it? lol

True Wedgie Story Time (it's been a while since I did this):

Mid-1990s. Playoff time (can't remember the year or the team).

My soon-to-be wife and I exit Maple Leaf Gardens after a loss. The crowd was in a bad mood.

For those of you of a certain age: do you remember pouring out of the Gardens and onto Church Street? The crowd would completely take over the street - I always wondered who was dumb enough to drive near the Gardens after Leafs games.

Anyhoo, there was one drunken Leafs fan who was randomly trying to get into a fight - with anyone. Didn't matter what team you had cheered for.

He grabs some innocent guy. Innocent guy is terrified, tells him to let go, tussle starts, they are seperated, drunk guy charges him again. Innocent guy is so scared, he puts his keys in between his fingers. Drunk guy charges him, throws a few punches, innocent guy punches back, carving drunken guy's face to ribbons. Crowd surges, they get separated, innocent guy runs off.

Mrs. Wedgie and I decide to walk up to Wellesley subway station.

We get to Church and Wellesley, and drunken guy is there. He is a franking mess.

I try to be the nice guy. "Hey buddy, you're in really bad shape - let's get you to an Emergency room (there used to be a small one at Wellesley and Jarvis)."

Drunkie looks at me and says, "Are you the guy who hit me?"

Oh poop - I realize I'm wearing roughly the same outfit as innocent guy.

He grabs my tie and won't let me go, as he figures out if it was me.

At this point, his girlfriend (yeah, I know!) starts sobbing, telling him it wasn't me, I'm with my girlfriend, let me go.

He finally accepts it wasn't me.

I try one more time to put him in a cab to go to the emergency room for stitches, but he refuses, and not in a polite way.

So I figure I've tried my best to be a good Samaritan, I'm Audi 5000. We turn west on Wellesley, hit the subway, go home.

Somewhere out there in Leafs Nation, there's a guy with nasty scars on his face - a bad souvenir of a Leafs playoff loss at Maple Leaf Gardens.
