Since TJ got me going now , Drury has traded
2nd in 2021 to dump Staal’s salary.
(2) 2nds to get rid of Nemeth’s contract (1 year after HE signed Nemeth). 2025 and 2026 picks
2nd for Smith (got a 3rd back)
2nd and 3rd for Kane
1st and 2nd for Copp
2nd for Wennberg
List goes on and on and on
ALL rentals. Never trades picks for players we actually get to keep, and don’t say JT Miller, he basically demanded a trade to come back here. |

I’ve been over this to many times, and now I’m sure ur boneheaded brother will start tomorrows conversation with “you can’t stop talking about Drury blah blah blah.”
Here it is; once again. Drury has made TERRIBLE decisions. Trades he’s made, the way he throws around draft picks without a single F given about the future etc etc.
He doesn’t all of a sudden get a pass bc he traded for JT Miller when the Rangers were basically the only team Miller would waive for.
Every trade he makes, he overpays or gets killed on. Rielly smith for a 2nd, but then he only gets a 3rd back. Presidents trophy winners, ALMOST made it, and he goes out and adds a guy coming off one of his worst seasons for a 2nd round pick. Genius. Pure genius. And Smith is FAR from a North South player. Neither is Urho and I haven’t been to impressed with Borgen. I’m not talking about the trade with Borgen, I’m talking about the player himself. - nyrangers9479
You escalate it lol this is a pivotal summer, just let him cook for once. |

Ok dude I can’t do this everyday with you. I’m taking the summer off of here. I’m sure Brukie will be on the attack next. I was just trying to have a pleasant conversation, and it’s impossible.
Cheers gentlemen |

Copp and Wennberg helped them get to the ECF. Not bad trades at all. When you are trying to win you go for it. And JT Miller trade counts lol. You can’t just change the rules cause Drury made a great trade

It’s ridiculous. This conversation is getting too heated amongst the diehards. It’s not like we have a choice for better or worse he’s the GM of our favorite team fellas
Just let the man cook for once |

Not heated at all. I’m very relaxed watching the TOR/OTT game.
Cook for once? He’s had 5 years to cook lol.
Let’s see what he does, but given his track record, I’m not holding my breath. |

It’s why I am going to be unbearable around here if the rangers get back into contention next year with Drury leading the way. The haters made it clear this is his fault. So if he fixes the roster and they are good again he gets all the credit |

Just give him this year up until the TDL. Theyve had a lot of kids failing that has set them back. Figuring out whose fault that is, is key. That’s what’s failing the org right now, the lack of development. To me it’s coaching. That can’t find the right coach/staff |

I saw something that Carle declined interview with Chicago. Speculating the Rangers might be on his choice list |

I get frustrated with the lack of picks. You see a kid like Knies, we never had a chance to draft him bc we traded our 2nd that year to dump Staal.
Our organizational depth right now is terrible and it’s bc of the lack of picks we’ve had bc this bozo throws them away like candy. No 2nd this year bc he traded it with Nemeth to dump him. Same goes for next years 2nd also. |

I’ve been thinking of Kreider Zib trades…
To Nash - Zib and Kreider
To NYR - O’Reilly and Sjkei
*or if they could get Josi somehow. Rangers Preds match up for a mega deal |

I doubt the Preds want to add more aging vets. The best trade for Kreider is probably to just get a 2nd and 3rd and move on. I’m also not opposed to keeping him if his injuries were as bad as some are making them seem.
Zib can get launched to the moon IMO. Get a few young prospects for him and move on.
I’d sign Marner if we could trade Panarin, but don’t think it’s a good idea to have both on the team. |

For more reasons than one. That's well north of $25M for 2 roster spots. |

I think since everybody who posts here does so nearly every single day, we all know this stuff
You didn’t need to devote your Saturday night to typing this all out.
Yet again.

You think that you are the only expert on the moves they have made since 2021.
We are all experts. We can all recite all the moves they have made. Nobody here needs to be educated.
And the problem is that you know that. So you do this constantly with the sole purpose of being annoying. |

I am still predicting Torts is the next coach and final coach Drury gets.
The contract extension is meaningless, IMO, in terms of Drury being here long term if this doesn’t turn around quickly. Torts is still close with Dolan and usually provides an immediate dividend when he first joins a team.
Hes also easy to fire along with Drury if this team is a disaster again next season. |

If the Rangers dont get in the playoffs next year, Drury either gets fired or removed as GM next year, contract extension be damned. |

This would be the ultimate retread of retread's lol.
Next thing you know, they'll hire Lundqvist, Girardi, Boyle and Callahan in some capacity to the staff. |
