Mis-judged fly balls are usually ruled hits. If he got in position then dropped it, it would have been an error.

FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that the Blue Jays are "still talking" a Mike Fiers trade with the Brewers.
Fiers has pitched really well of late and is under team control through 2018, so the Brewers figure to ask for quite a bit in return for him. Rosenthal notes that he's not the only arm the Blue Jays are looking at, though, as they're also interested in Jeff Samardzija and Johnny Cueto and would be after David Price if he becomes available.
