i don't know. it was such a different mindset.

my feeling is that they told him to make the calls and bring back all the deals to them and they would make the decision.

that way he could be involved so that it's sort of "on his resume" for his future and they got to make the decision so he wouldn't mess it up. i don't even think he would have made the deals if they didn't tell him they were moving these players and he had to do the legwork.

just my feeling anyway.
