it won't cripple them. Shields and his 20+M are gone. Pretty much pays for Harper right there. Sox have a giant sweetheart stadium deal. They have resources. Reinsdorf has never been afraid to spend IF he thinks it will draw fans.

Hell, they can afford Machado, too. They have a bunch of guys who will be under club friendly deal coming up.
