I think holding Cease down is pointless now. Super 2 cut-off is over, let him take his lumps at the mlb level now so that he can be part of a good rotation next year. Maybe they're waiting for when the Sox fall back out of the WC race over the next month to have a nice feel-good call-up story to get us through the dog days. I dunno. Hahn is weird.

i say bring them both up. any pitching at all and this team can legitimately contend for a WC spot. FFS, they are two games under .500 with a pitcher and a half.

eloy is getting a bit better in left. he is far from good but he is tracking the ball better. too bad engels can't hit for poop. he would be the perfect guy to have in center next to eloy. that guy can cover the prairie states.

last time he faced the yanks was in early April and also the last time he had trouble with walks and that tendency of falling off the mound to the left. I thought he pitched ok that game despite the 4 walks and it was absolutely pissing rain. eloy hit 2 dingers that game too.

eloy still has yet to hit a dinger at home. tonight would be a good time for it. best part is moncado is quietly having himself a good season. at the plate and in the field.

madrigal hitting well at birmingham so far, and he's been pulling the ball as well apparently which is good to hear.

i liked nicky, but there won't be a spot for him next year in all likelihood, so makes sense to outright release him.

fry hasn't been right all year, which is a shame because he was awesome last year. Bummer has replaced him. Bullpen arms, man, they come out of nowhere and disappear just as fast alotta the time.
