Today was a good day for Miami Marlins starter Carlos Zambrano. Not only did he pitch 7 and 2/3 innings, keeping the Philadelphia Phillies to one run on four hits, he also made a mark at the plate, hitting his first homerun of the season. Zambrano, who is reportedly suffering from a slight flu, also laid down a bunt single for his second hit of the game.

The Phillies are interested in Kevin Youkilis.

Phillies scouts were recently in Toronto when the Red Sox were in town to take a look at Youlikis.

Youkilis, who turns 34 next week, is hitting just .245 with four home runs and 12 RBIs in 29 games this season. He spent nearly a month on the disabled list with a back strain, but is batting .289 with a pair of homers since returning May 22.
