I saw a article about the next year being a 5 aces team with Halladay (no way he comes back at same salary), Lee, Hamels, MAG and Kendrick

i love when i look up and an outfielder i've never heard of is all of a sudden playing on my local baseball team and drops a routine fly ball. just drops it.

The Philadelphia Phillies lost their eighth straight game Sunday, a 12-4 rout at the hands of the Detroit Tigers, dropping them to a season-worst seven games below .500.

The frustration is becoming more and more palpable as losses mount, trade rumors swirl about the team and playoff hopes fade away.

"I definitely didn't come here for this," Phillies closer Jonathan Papelbon told MLB.com.

not like closer is an important role when the team never has a lead in the late innings anyway. hell, they're usually down by 8 or 9 runs by the late innings.
