You failed to answer my question.

Are statkeepers at home running up the visitor's shot totals, making the whole team look bad, to make sure the goalie looked good?

Does an inflated number of shots against (at home, with "homer" stats keeper) make HL's save percentage look better??

Check it out.

The Re-build is still in progress. Did you really think this team is not going to improve over the next few season?

The Defence Corp for example, is one of the youngest and least experienced in the League.

Marc Methot leads the team in regular season games played with 469, then comes Erik Karlsson with 427 , followed by Jared Cowen with 239, Patrick Wiercioch 181, Cody Ceci 159, Mark Borowiecki 114 and Chris Wideman with only 19.

- D0PPELGANGER

and the only one worth a damn doesn't play defense.

So the stat keepers are purposely making the Rangers look worse at home?

Rangers at home: 29 shots against per game
Rangers on the road: 33 shots against per game

Dopps, I see your point. They're definitely inflating the shot numbers to make Lundqvist look better.

You know very well Babcock was considered the best coach prior to coming to Toronto.
- RogerRoeper

He's top 3 I'd say.

Quenneville, Hitchcock, Babcock. No specific order. I don't care enough to post charts and graphs to support this though.

List of top 10 Active Coaches in NHL ranked by Points Percentage

Bruce Boudreau .654
Dan Bylsma .653
Jeff Blashill .633
Dave Cameron .629
Todd McLellan .628
Mike Babcock .622
Joel Quenneville .615
Claude Julien .612
Ken Hitchcock .606
Mike Johnston .595

So perhaps the leafs should have gone after Dan Bylsma, and saved a few bucks, rather than pandering to their fan base who were demanding the Start Power that the media had pumped Babcock up to be.

No, that would be the Sens.

Leafs were "luckier" in the past.

No luck on Saturday night, Sens hit two goal posts that would have perhaps tied the game.

Sens did not deserve to win, and full marks to the Habs, as both teams have top six players out of their respective line ups, and the Habs depth came through.

No, they will eventually get their injured (veteran) players back, and get back to form sooner or later.......also Hammond will be available soon to spell Anderson once in while, or as needed.

Sens should complete for a divisional playoff spot, or at least a WC spot.

leafs are headed for the basement, and perhaps they can get a break in the lottery, and be in the Sens situation in 5 to 8 years from now.

I think the Sens are just where they are in the standings because the statkeepers are favouring them.

Bylsma has arguably seen his teams underachieve. With Buffalo we'll see if he can get a team to overachieve. So far.. no.

They'll be that bad in 2 years odds are. That's when we should reasonably expect them to be a borderline playoff team.

If the Leafs have a mediocre NHL roster, no quality prospects, cheap ownership, and a coach similar to Carlyle in 2 year's time, then Shanny will have been a failure.

That's a bit optimistic.

Ottawa's re-build started with the 2011 entry draft when they had three first round picks.

So I'd suggest that you give the leafs another three or four drafts before you start thinking you team will be strongly contending for a playoff spot.

The cheap owner thing is a serious issue though. I wonder what the most cap space for a cup winning team has been so far.

I'm dying to know here.
