AHL record for wins is 60. Points is 124, both in 80 games. Marlies on higher pace than both.

Sounds like a coaching issue then if you have the same personnel that won you a CALDER FRIKKIN CUP on both the HABS and BULLDOGS

I hope this provides you the ammunition you need to settle your feud with Mashadar for good

I don't care. They stand no chance in a 7 game series against Pittsburgh, Washington, or New York. Zero. I don't give them much of a chance against Columbus either, but I don't think Columbus is much better than the Sens. They aren't "for real" either. (any team getting Cam Atkinson and Nick Foligno scoring almost 30 goals a piece has caught some lightning in a bottle).

march 15 2017
The Leafs have made tremendous progress, and are on track to be a contender for the cup within 2-3 years. They will likely win their division next year, and more importantly, be one of the top 3 or 4 teams in the conference. They will be able to contend with the likes of Pittsburgh and Washington. This is more than any Canadian team has been able to say in a long long time.

Leaf fans are ecstatic with the progress being made, and the track the Leafs are headed on, and it's seems to have sens fans trembling.

April 7 2017
The Caps are just jacked, and playing the right style of hockey to win.

I don't gamble much, but this year I'm going to actually put some money down.

April 7 2017

- prock[quote=prock]this season has been an absolute success already for the leafs. we aren't worried. they're the best young team in the league and will win the division next year. they don't need much to be considered a true contender. you can gloat all you want about second or third in the division and an early playoff exit. it's not our goal.

-$100 on the Caps to win the cup.
-$100 on the Caps to win the East.
-$50 on the Hawks to win the West.
-$50 on the Hawks to win the cup.
-$20 on Minnesota to win the West.
-$200 on _____ to beat Ottawa in the first round.

Too many games missed due to injury, by top players, to really label the "team" as you've done.

Players called up from AHL have not been able to compete at required level needed at the NHL.

Senators will not make the playoffs this season, fer these reasons, not for the reasons you site. But of course, as they've done constantly for the past decade, with maybe one exception, will finish ahead of the leafs in the division.

I know you will come back and suggest that the leafs selecting before the Sens in the entry draft makes puts them in a better situation, but until this new regime in toronto shows they can select better than their predecessors, I'm not going to agree with you, because the leafs have a history of making poor choices at the draft table.

Boo (frank)ing who. Every team deals with injuries. If your team folds like superman on laundry day because of injuries then the fact is they are not very good.

The senators are essentially in hockey purgatory without the internal assets to improve, the budget to buy, nor the draft position to aquire a meaningful player that will boost their core.

They are heading in a downward spiral and with the young prospect pools the Leafs, Sabres and Bruins are assembling they will be a basement dweller for years to come.

Yes, it could happen.

Injuries have kept out top line forwards for most of this season, and younger players are playing further up in the line up than where they should be, and are not able to keep up with increased intensity that started in December, and will increase even more after the TDD. The call ups from the AHL have not been able to fill in the bottom spots in the third and fourth lines........and the Sens probably have the second worst record since the middle of December.

However, I can see the leafs increasing their odds by trading away impending UFAs on TDD, and the Senators will probably get a little better once the missing top six players return from injury ............. so leafs should finish the season below the Senators, with better odds in the draft lottery.

Current odds of winning first pick for the leafs (today) are 9.5%, the Sens 6%, and the leafs have two games in hand.............and when they beat the Sens on Saturday, the gap will be closer.

YIKES, just tried the Draft simulator, #1 leafs, #2 Habs, #3 Jets.

Just stopped in the Sens blog to see whats up

Prince and Puemple are not nhl players.
Every prospect we have in Bingo are "B level" prospects at best. We will be lucky if any of them make the NHL in any capacity.

The only A level prospect we had was Lazar and we are runing him every single game.

It is still too early to tell on Chabot and White.

Sens fans need to take off the homer glasses when it comes to the state of this team and its future. We need to bottom out for a couple years. The only problem is: does EK want to stick arounf and waste his prime on a rebuild.

Im not sure.. Its great that he jumped ship to the sens because they were a team doing it right and had a great prospect pool and was on track to be a contender.

the leafs are going to be the team he thought the sens were....traitors not allowed back though

Yes. The collection of 2nd liners missing from your first line is definitely the problem.
