Ah yes the leafs are the new Oilers I forgot.

Speaking of the Oilers...its working out well for them trading for D ..to help lock that down... 13 goals against in 3 games...

- senstroll

Leave us out of this.

6-1. 4 in a row. 2 allowed last three games. Just sayin...

I forget. Who has more points Brassard or Zibanejad?
- systemtool

So I take it that you're not a big fan of trading away someone, who is no longer in your team's future plans, for someone who is a few years older, and a proven track record, who your team's GM sees as a better fit with their team, and the players he will be working with.

Clearly Zibanejad is the better player. If I was New York I'd rather have Zibanejad too. Watch Brassard win the Art Ross. I think Zibanejad was the right guy, but why won't you guys talk about Brassard. That's all I'm saying.

No. I'm not a fan of trading a younger player AND a second for an older player. Most specifically when you're not even a playoff team.

I've seen the Leafs try this so many times in old regimes. Not a fan of it at all. Horribe to a teams future.

Don't get me wrong I love the Sens are making moves like Phaneuf and Brassard. I just wouldn't want it for my team is all I'm saying. Especially after we already tried the Phaneuf one ourselves. I speak from experience. You'll dismiss it. I used to.

So......what does this have to do with anything? None of this has anything to do with the discussion or is even comparable.

You have to do better than this. It really is a lame answer. It is early in the season and nobody is really warmed up yet, but you still need to be better than this.

What the (frank)?

If being "better than this" means coming up with your lame ass laine comments...no I don't.

You seem rattled. Which is probably why you ignored all of my posts directed at you for one that wasn't meant for you..you need to do better than this. But you can't. So I wont suggest it.

You're right it's early in the season and you're a dumbass. No doubt you'll be one too late in the season as well.

This coming from the jackals that called someone else dumbut as a post, then proceeded to post irrelevant crap in his reply, then followed that up by trying to convince everyone that expenses don't reduce profit. Is it okay for you because you ARE trying your best but youre still an idiot?

Well you're allover Ottawa for trading a young forward, with tons of untapped potential to the Rangers, for an older player that has already peaked, in your opinion.

The Habs traded PK Subban for Shea Weber, again a younger player with tons of untapped potential , for an older player that has already peaked.

Can't you see the similarity?

If not then your argument about Ottawa's acquisition of Brassard holds no water.

Shea Weber is one of the best leaders and best at his position in the game and a first ballot hall of famer. Brassard isn't that. It was a swap of two players in their prime with big contracts. Cant see the difference? If not then I'm right as usual.

Subban is 27. He is what he is. In his prime. Meanwhile Zibanejad is leading the Rangers in goals while entering his prime at 23. Subban is closer in age to Brassard than he is to Zib.

So you're saying PK Subban (4 years younger) and Shea Weber are, now, at this exact time, are both"in their prime"?

And this trade for an older player is okay in your books, when you've gone on the record stating " I'm not a fan of trading a younger player ... for an older player." is okay........ but trading Zibanejad for an older Brassard is not.

Methnks you default hatred for everything the Senators do is showing.

You missed the part about not being a playing off team. Way to go! Convenient omission !

And yes Subban and Weber are both in their prime. Unlike Zibby and Brassard where Zib is only beginning to enter his. The age gap between Brassard and Zibby is greater than the Subban Weber gap.

This more like trading Steen for Stempniak. Because you sure didn't get a player of Weber calibre back. A supestar like Weber can change a team. A b lister like Brassard cant.

In addition, again another convenient omission, is that Sens added a high pick to make the deal for the older player. The Habs did not.

Methinks your unfailing support of every Sens move ever made is showing.

What a horrid comparison. Anyways the numbers speak for themselves. Zibanejad with 8 points leading the Rangers. Brassard with 5. And you add in the 2nd round pick. It speaks for itself which is why Sens fans are so edgy talking about it. And why some just flat out ignore the reality.

What a ridiculous comparison.

Oh yeah and the 2nd rounder it cost as well.
