Prices for fresh vegetables and fruit rose more than 13 per cent in December from a year earlier.

Potatoes climbed by almost 14 per cent, onions by almost 17 per cent, and grapefruit by 22.5 per cent.

Other prices for various goods, like meat, also rose, though to a lesser extent. And some fell, though to a far lesser extent.
