kfc is extra greasy and overly salty. if i'm feeling too good about myself i know a trip to kfc will fix that so i still go there once a year or so.

alrighty. that's it. i've been there twice in my life and i will die having been there twice in my life.

it all came back to me as soon as i sat down. the biscuit would be the best part of the meal. and it was.

the chicken has about 40% of the taste of KFC chicken. also that smaller piece had about 3 bites worth of meat to it.

now let's talk about those french fries. fries should be hard to mess up. but ol popeye found a way. it wasn't even that they weren't good, it's that they were bad. i couldn't even eat them. i actually threw the fries away.


so i learned 2 things at popeye's:

1) (frank) this place
2) rayven simone and steve harvey have talk shows

have you ever had korean fried chikin'?
It's the (frank)ing bomb

no batter, just crispy skin glazed in sweet and spicy sauce. and tender, juicy meat
the double-frying is the key (just as it is with fries from "fries shacks" over here)

As for regular fried chikin' :
there are no big chains in my small town but there's a dinner that's a licensee of Poulet Fritou and it's pretty good. really dig Poulet Fritou's chickin

what i do know is that we have sort of regional chain called crown fried chicken that an authentic real live black person turned me on to in like 2006 and it doesn't even matter what location you go to - the chicken is like crack. but i think there's only 3 in jersey.

they were very slow and kind of rude. like the kind of people who just stand there after they place their order like the food is coming right out to the register, as if nobody else has to place their order. or just stand in front of the soda fountain like an idiot. lots of fake looking jewelry. may have all been related.
