The thing I hate most about the whole speeding ticket experience is when they ask something like "where are you going?"
The reason I hate this is they have no need to have that info and all they're doing is seeing if you'll be a jerk to them. If you're a jerk they'll give you the worst ticket they can justify. If not then you have to tell them something about your personal life that they have no business knowing.
Since I'm not a rich man, I told him where I was going. The cop, not Prax.
(also I was going home so no jokes) |

agree'd. worst thing to do is piss off an egocentric cop. They have no right to ask you where you are going, but many answer to avoid the confrontation and anal probe that would occur next. |

In summary, for barely even speeding (it was a fifty dollar ticket) I was asked where I was going, had the usual stuff like insurance checked up (BTW why do they make you carry insurance cards and registration still when it's all computerized), had my plates checked and was doubtlessly run through a few databases to see if I have a criminal record.
I love being a good citizen in a free nation. I feel so appreciated. |

cards for insurance and registration are tradition, back up when the police on board computer scalrs and for the (frank)ing idiots who dont know when their poop expires unless it is written on something (not that it will help them but it allows an ego cop to show them the expired card on a traffic stop to humiliate them)
*runs TheyreTadpoles through NCIC*
*submits TheyreTadpoles to the no fly list*

It's interesting that I must have my insurance card on me to prove I have insurance, a val tag on my plate to prove I have insurance (which costs 75 bucks a year) and a sticker on my registration to prove I have insurance. I'm sure that's not just a money making scheme at all. Seems totally efficient.
Everyone is on a no fly list now. It takes far too long to get through an airport to go anywhere. |

Have had both of those in effect for years. They're also conditions on getting the val tag. |
