We had a meet the teacher/parent/kids thing. It was pretty cool. What sucked was grade 1 when noon came around and the teacher told us the day still had 4 hours.

yes i know the teacher i've talked to her many times. hell her teacher is the same one that taught me in kindergarten. i just don't like meetings at all and its going to be 90% repeating what i already know will be going on for my kid this year

I was morning. I was in Ukrainian so we hated the english too. Somehow we had the least amount of kids, but when it came to any sport we kicked the poop out of everyone.

It wasn't immersion though. It was pretty much the same as the english curriculum except we took one Ukrainian class. Not really sure what they took instead.

The short form is you don't actually have a 90 minute meeting, but they have enough people to deal with that they give themselves 90 minutes per for pre and post interview time. The meeting itself will likely go no more than an hour tops, more likely in the 45 minute territory.

Im still pissed we couldn't find a Spanish immersion program in Red Deer. I like this city but sometimes it's lacking in certain poop.

well seriously, which language is spoken more worldwide? Im about giving them every advantage I can, and the ability to be multi-lingual is becoming more important all the time. As women growing up in Alberta, I have every intention of seeing them as widely educated as possible in the hopes that they won't wind up marrying a (frank)ing rig pig.

Few and far between. I worked in the industry for a few years and they are mostly shiftless scum. while some do occasionally reach for that next level, most seem content making their 5G a month or so and blowing it on toys, booze, blow and then they're all devastated when the inevitable valley part of the cycle hits and they have to declare bankruptcy. Idiots.

I think a lot of schools are offering Mandarin and Hindustani now, at least in BC for some strange reason.... Portuguese would be a great language to learn as well. Or just get them fluid in Esperanto and they should have the basics for all the European languages.

Well in Red Deer it's french or nothing, so whatever. The important thing is that from a young age their brain will be geared to more than one language and learning others later on will be easier for them. It doesn't matter a ton I guess because the Romantics are all very similar and learning one beats a good path for the others.

I wish they could learn that clicky language that the african dudes speak.
