That's where they should be. What has a higher potential for being more dangerous, a car hitting a cyclist or a cyclist hitting a pedistrian?

he's right... hell, even when there's a bike path there there are usually cars in it, forcing you onto the sidewalk, or further into traffic...

If a biker hits you on the sidewalk, most likely scenario you're still standing, he's on the ground, and you've got a bruise on your leg.

if a car hits a biker, you've got a good chance at seeing some strawberry jam.


oh, and mountain bikes are allowed on sidewalks, its' racing/road bikes, with the bigger wheels that aren't
