I just finished making a crims of myself with spaghetti and meatballs, garlic bread, side salad with a chianti followed by tiramisu, grabbed a couple of canolis and 2 slices of cheesecake for later to crimsify

every year for my birthday my aunt (linda, the one you like) makes me a batch of carbonara. this year my birthday went by and i sadly just figured it slipped her mind or we'd just outgrown it. but then last saturday she told me that she was making the carbonara on tuesday for a get together at my brother's apartment. so my birthday tradition was saved, i had delicious carbonara, and everything is right with the world.

also, this is with the egg and whatever recipe, not the one with thick white sauce.



in conclusion, technically only north jersey is weird.

oh yeah

Had pappardelle alla pomodoro for dinner yesterday - the pasta was fresh and good but the sauce was cloyingly sweet and had pepper kick in at the end clumsily. They honestly could have just served it with butter and sage and it would have been 100x better.
