If they can't accommodate or refuse to do so, you simply bring in your own meal or have it delivered to their house earlier in the day... I refuse to report my dinner this evening as it was a shameful abomination... and no amount of embellishment can ever make it anything more than an a great yet sad embarrassment.

Okay... but not only is it so bad it is embarrassing to post, but it is so boring, it is embarrassing to post.

Wife has days she goes to the Gym in the early evening for a special class -- probably for some hunk in reality... but I digress -- but prepares a Dinner before that I pretty much pop in the oven or compete in time... they are actually pretty good when all is said and done and all things considered. But we finish late and by the tie we clean up, it is kind of late to pop in a DVD.

She came up with a brilliant idea for tonight... and maybe going forward... She would make Dinner early and we'd eat before she leave for the Gym... and watch the movie at a decent time.

I had a so-so salad that seemed halfhearted at best... with a homemade Rasberry/Blackcurrant Mustard/Honey dressing, which sucked... and then the piece of resistance was a store bough frozen (I suppose) stir-fry that was very small and basically tasteless... and I MEAN tasteless, as in void of taste... We had no dessert and I didn't even bother wasting a beer on the meal, so I finished a Cold Brewed Iced Coffee I was already drinking when the Dinner(?) was ready.

... there you have it... bad and boring... and too long for those who won't even read Cliff Notes due to their length.

Please do not say that I didn't warn you going in.
