1. My first hockey game was at the old Civic Center between the Philadelphia Blazers and the Minnesota Fighting Saints.
2. I met Simon Nolet when he was a Flyer.
3. I once held Dave Schultz's beer for him so he could use the urinal,
4. I have never played any position besides goalie
5. I refused to wear number 1 because it belonged to Bernie Parent
6. I played pickup hockey with Pat Lafontaine and he broke my hand with a wrist shot.
7. My all time favorite Hockey Sweater is the Philadelphia Firebirds
8. My least favorite hockey arena is MSG.
9. My last hockey sweater number was 39
10. I preferred the Kansas City Scouts to the New Jersey Devils.
11. I have never caught a puck at a game, those things hurt when you arent wearing your glove!
12. My sister still has her "save with Bernie" wind breaker from IVB bank.
13. I can name both Flyer cup teams by number.
14. I was at Pelle Lindberg's last shut out.
15. I was at the game the night that Tim Kerr set the PP goal record
16. I cheer when the Flyers score even when I am home alone.
17. I was a huge Pete Peeters fan. . still am.
18. My first schedule check is always hockey related
19. I have watched the TSN coverage of the NHL trading deadline the last 3 years
20. I stink at nearly all video hockey games. |

Damn... I should have put that. I have one of them too. First time any pro sports star had signed a million dollar endorsement deal. In any sport I believe. - leafs_wingp
My dad used to work for William Neilson Ltd. so I got two of those Mr Big photos. Remember those Neilson/Wayne Gretzky trading cards from the early 80s? I had a few sets of them but can't find them. I have no idea what I did with them. |

19. I remember when the Isles would come to the forum in LA, and, they were respected, now I hear laughter sometimes as I wear my Isles jersey, but, those days will return, have to be an optimist.
20. I need to do some work, Isles faceoff at 4:30 vs Habs, did I mention Kirk Muller is useless? - huddy05
Yea they will be respectful when Wang is not ur owner and you fixed all Milbury mistakes
Muller is not useless he just did not want to play for the Isles due to he wanted to still be a hab |

1. I have been to 13 different NHL stadiums to see games. Doesn't matter who is playing, as long as it is an NHL game
2. As a Flyers fan, I have determined that the worst fans are in Philadelphia. They boo children who wear the opposing teams jersey
3. I once followed Keith Acton home from a day game after getting his autograph, just because we could
4. I know more useless information about the Flyers than I care to know
5. I think that the worst acquisition that the Flyers ever made was Eric Lindros.
6. The nicest guy to ever sign autographs in Philadelphia was Brian Propp, and you could actually read his signature.
7. I have a Kevin Dineen jersey that I waited for 15 years for him to autograph, which he did at the Game at the Spectrum this season. Its the only autograph on the jersey
8. I have never learned to ice skate. I play old school street hockey on FEET!
9. I work with someone who is a cousin of The Rocket. she doesn't care, I think its cool.
10. Before I die, I want to see someone lift the cup off the table in the Stanley Cup deciding game
11. There should not be the criteria of championship in the decision to the HHOF
12. I've attended hundreds of hockey games, and only ever left one early.
13. When I got home from my first ever hockey game, sitting 2 rows from the ice with a photographers seat in front (with the hole so they could stick their lens through), I said to my Mom..."I got wet"
14. I have never been close to catching a puck
15. Mike Emrick is the best play-by-play guy in the league
16. I read about hockey all day every day. Its amazing how I get any work done
17. Remember like it was yesterday when Hextall skated down the ice and got into the fight with Felix Potvin. Probably the loudest the Wachovia Center has been in a while
18. I play street hockey against a guy who played in the ECHL and AHL recently.
19. Went to the last regular season game at the Spectrum, and remember how neat it was for the guys on the team to skate with a similar type of player from the teams of yesterday.
20. Is curious how much money someone would offer me to give up my seat to game 7 of the stanley cup finals, and whether or not I would take it.

Come on guys, you don't actually believe this, do you?
My first clue was the ones where Eklund said he was a goalie, and then got a hat trick when he played forward for one game...
Am I really the only one who remembers that over the years Eklund has stated numerous times that he was never fortunate enough to play ice hockey as a kid? |

My family was in the wholesale business so I always got to go to cool events like that.

I also have an uncut sheet of those trading cards I think. (I was spoiled because of the family business)
Were they the cards that had pictures of him from when he was a little kid right on up to the night he scored his 500th goal?
Those are the cards I mean anyway. |

How is Tampa Bay this bad... 4 points above the "lowly" Islanders with players like Vinny, Marty, Malone, Stamkos. I understand their D is suspect and their goalie is weak, but c'mon no way they should be this bad and make Islander fans sweat out coming in last place. - macch
I saw Tampa play against the Leafs about a month ago. They dominated the leafs, but Toskala, played like poop. Joseph played well after Toskala was pulled. Apart from Vinny, St. Louis, Stamkos and Malone, this team is garbage. They do not have consitent goalie and their defence is horrible. Try naming a defenceman on the current 23 man roster. You can't. This team sucks.
I bet Tampa finishes in last, espeically with the Isles playing so well. |

I doubt the sens fans are bitter about Kevin Li.
Especially since their blogger Kevin Lee isn't around anymore. |

Yeah, that sounds about right. The cards had pictures of him as a kid, with Gordie Howe and stuff like that. Good for you to have the uncut sheet. I visited Neilson's with my dad and I saw the stock of cards they had being stored there. Hundreds and hundreds of boxes of them waiting to be shipped. I ended up with a few sets anyways but I must have misplaced them and haven't seen them in years. |
