1- I wake up every day for hockey

2-My sons first word was hockey (not even joking, but it was more like hock---eee)

3-My son learned to walk with a hockey stick

4-My son, now 2, seems to want to be a goalie, and has his own mask, but he can stick handle fairly well for a 2 yr old, good shot too! He skated for the first time this winter, and cried when I took his skates off

5-I would rather play pond hockey than rink hockey any day

6-I hate dirty hockey players, I enjoy a clean game

7-I am a Leafs fan, and it’s not easy

8-My dad has a massive collection of hockey cards he will someday hand down to me, if every card were to sell for 1$, he would be a multi-millionaire. He is most proud of his OpeeChee sets running from 1969-72, he has every card from those sets

9-I have a copy of Bobby Orr's and Gordie Howes rookie card, well, I will when my dad gives it to me lol

10-Even though I am a Leaf fan, my first jersey was a Red Wings jersey

11-I am still bitter about Gretzky clipping Gilmore in game 6 of the WCF in 93

12-I honestly believe had Wayne got called on his high stick, the Leafs/Habs in the SCF in 93 would have been one of the greatest finals of all time, regardless of the outcome

13-I volunteer to run ball hockey leagues at the Boys and Girls club

14-I love street hockey

15-My high school was so small, (grad class of 44 people) we didn’t have any hockey programs, certainly not any ice hockey programs, so my VP had me organize a ball hockey league in my school

16-One of first live game I seen was the Saint John Flames vs St John’s Maple Leafs at Harbour Station in SJ, Clarke Wilm I believe shot a puck off of the gentleman in front of me’s head, it bounced in my lap…..I kept that puck

17-I really hope to be a STH some day

19-My cousin was best friends with Trevor Ettinger (former draft pick of the Oilers, traded to Columbus and played in Syracuse (sp?) before passing away) I got to see Trevor play a lot for the CB Screaming Eagles (QMJHL), his trips to play the Mooseheads were classics, he could fight, before he passed away from a self inflicted gun shot, he was ranked among the leagues most feared fighters in the AHL - He killed himself due to major depression and home sickness after his grandfather passed away

20-Lastly, I have never been to an actual NHL game ….yet

1. I once tried to reach down to touch Messier’s helmet on the way to the dressing room from the stands, but accidentally knocked his helmet off (I thought I was going to die).

2. Jaroslav Pouzar personally handed out our hockey trophies in minor hockey.

3. I still get shivers when I think of the insane hockey fans at Rexall Place during the 2006 Cup run while cheering and singing both anthems.

4. I am glad I didn’t leave the game early on April 20, 1997 when the Oilers were down 3-0 against Dallas with 4 minutes to go (Buchberger of all people scored in OT).

5. I played in a ball hockey league against Martin Gelinas and Georges Laraque.

6. A good friend of mine got Gretzky to sign his arm, and then went straight to the Tattoo parlor to make it permanent (now that’s devotion).

7. Fernando Pisani is a former teammate of mine, and his dad built my parents’ house.

I blame the economy.

1- i hated hockey growing up as a kid, i started to like it in 2002

2-my first favorite team were the red wings because that's the only team i really knew

3- my first hockey game was against the devils at the coliseum

4- i don't like the red wings anymore, die hard islanders fan

5- i really hate the rangers

6-i own 3 islander jersyes...the vintage 1980s one, the mostly orange alternate one and the new blue jersey(not the alternate)

7-my whole wall is decorated with islanders material, posters, pictures, players, tickets

8- i also like the kings, i think they're an amazing team with so much potential, plus they have awesome jerseys

9-my favorite alternate jersey is probably the new edmonton one

10-i went to a game at the garden a few weeks ago, when the panthers made a great third period come back...the fans didn't like me as i cheered for florida lol

11-i'm pretty good at nhl09, i had a winning record online but i sold the game

12-i had about 102 goals and 10-15 assist in my be a pro mode, started from the ahl as myself and worked my way up, didn't tweak the stats or anything.

13-i still find it weird that there's a goalie on the islanders that's a girl in nhl09 and apparently she's amazing, i never played against her or with her but i've heard from my friends
14- i really hope the islanders get tavares though hedman would be a nice fit too

15-my car is decorated with all islanders stuff, hope to add more soon

16-i have a pretty good shot when i play hockey, as my friends tell me but i don't know how to skate

17- i also wanted to try out being a goalie but i failed pretty bad at that

18-loudville is the greatest thing ever, i probably wouldn't have been to nearly half the games i've gone to if it wasn't for loudville

19-i used to be a huge fan of nhl 2k sports but then 2k8 was terrible so i moved to nhl08 and realized how much better ea hockey games are than 2k hockey games..though i did like 2k7 a lot

20-i hope to get an islanders tattoo one day, not sure where or what i want but i'll make something creative
