I grew up outside of a town of 60 people. Farmers from the around the community would come into town just to hand out candy and drink. I'd have at least a full-sized garbage bag full of candy by the end of the night and could hit every house in town in under an hour and a half.

Nobody used to buy them. They're still at like the very bottom of the candy racks at stores. small town rinks never sell them because nobody ever asks for them.
