i think i'm still leaning more towards the scotch and the irish whiskey than the bourbon. but i do still like the bourbon. but like you said it's burny so far. i like that it's sweeter though.

Try making a manhattan with bourbon, instead of rye. Use angostura bitters and just a drop of maraschino cherry juice. I prefer bourbon straight or on ice but a manhattan is a nice switch now and then.

we can't get woodfords here anymore...they stopped carrying it. I'll pick up the 1796 sometimes but mostly just stick with makers. the manhattan with rye was nice...gotta have angostura with it though.
