Beauchemin won't be a Hab.

We need a tough rugged Dman. We have Hamrlik Gorges Markov and Obyrne. Where is the toughness in that lineup? We need a Komisarek is what we need.
We are going to have a VERY soft D corps next year.

I see. So the answer is simple......bring back "the man we shall remain nameless".
ALL KINDS of toughness there!!!

The Leafs have 12 million in cap space. I really doubt that they go to Toronto for a Burke discount.

If we can sign Hossa or Havlat with the twins, we're pretty decent up front.

What about going after Dion Phaneuf? Maybe the Flames are willing to part with him now that they signed Bouwmeester?

And not a lot of cap sapce. Cap central shows them with a little of 8m in space, without JBo's contract.

they have 3 full lines of NHLers, just to move around a player or two to fill out the roster.
Why not NIck Boynton or Andrew Alberts?

I brought Boynton's name up a little earlier...and yesterday. I wouldn't be shocked if he ended up here.

Man, I'm really just like every other Habs fan...

I've been asking all season for the core of this team to be changed and yadda yadda yadda.....

Now that it's happening, I'm complaining and defending Koivu.... Good God, we Habs fans are a ridiculous bunch.

I wouldn't be upset if it did happen.
Also 2 other D men that would be interesting :
Marc André Bergeron and Shane O'Brien.

So I just went on the Oilers thread to see what they thought about Healtey.

Wow.

Everyone was saying that the Oilers won the deal, great to get rid of Penner's contract, sorry to see Cogliano go but then news that Healtey was not going to waive started to filter in....

HOLY RAGE BATMAN!!!!

The best was this one:

let the friggin crybaby play with himself
what is he going to do in edm? give out driving lessons?
let the prima donna go copulate himself- fu DH
go cry in your croc o dile tears - how does he spell Snyder - D-U-I
f off DH

I don't feel so bad for some of the comments we made last night.

Truth be told, we were all hoping for a change....just not a Gomez change..
he has one of the top 3 worst contracts in the league.......

I just don't see the rush to trade for him......was it so BG can attract a free agent or 2?

Was it to make Kovalev happy and show him he can play with a playmaker?

Seriously? Who besides MTL would have traded for Gomez......the absolute best we can do is come out of this trade even, and for that to happen Mcdonaugh never plays an NHL game, and Higgins develops a major drinking problem.
At the best we break even on this trade......It's not like you've ever heard anybody ever say...."Gomez was the heart and soul" of that team.

Time will tell.......But it will a million times harder to swallow if Komisarek signs in New York, or if any of the FA's we go after end up signing in NY.

We just gave them 7.3 million to go shopping with.....

So, in a big surprise, our friend thinks the Flyers made out big time with their acquisition.

The former has not happened, and from what we hear, development has slowed. Can he be good? Sure. But we don't know, and that's what happens in deals for prospects. You have to give to get. As for the latter, from what I hear, he is already there.

Anybody notice Sportsnet (through google) is advertising on this site?

I wonder how happy they would be knowing that they're being affiliated with the annonymous hockey blogger? AGAIN!
