How about Plekanec and Halak for Heatley, then sign the Sedins at 10 years, 50 million each and don't sign Kovalev? We'd be right up against the cap though.

Now, i know DD as made a damn good point about not giving away a top prospect when doing a favor to NY llike we just did....

But i was saying to myself that maybe the prices when sky high ( Vinny price) when Pronger was traded for a ridiculous amount of picks and prospects. When we compare the deals, our deal ain't that bad.

Whose the bigger idiot, the guy offering those contracts, or the guy trading for one of them?

So our biggest center and only one over 6' ft is Lapierre........and our D just got incredibly soft without Komisarek.......we will get eaten alive unless we add some grit.....especially on the backend........

If we had a problem clearing the front of the net and players crashing Price the last 2 years, it just got a lot worse if we don't lock in Komisarek........

but that's OK, Komisarek doesn't score anyways, and he's only a one dimensional player....we don't need him.

Why not go for Hossa ? He's a UFA , we wanted him 2 years ago. We can offer him much $$$ for many years. He's a 2 way player that can score 40 in a jiffy.... why not !!!!
