the entire week i was there he would chill in the tree near the balcony and make pissed off squirrel sounds while occasionally hanging out where you see him in that gif acting like he's not too much of a wimp to come get some delicious peanuts. i had to leave peanuts out there and go inside before he'd actually grab any to eat.

Most people opt to feed squirrels peanuts and corn. Unfortunately, neither of these foods are all that great for squirrel health.

i just read that they don't eat them that often because they aren't that nutritious but that it's okay to feed them some as long as the shells don't have mold on them.

the squirrels are everywhere in my neighborhood. i've never seen this many squirrels in one place. and they let you get way closer than other squirrels around here but still not that close, even though i always assure them in a soothing tone "i'm the last person you have to worry about ever hurting you.."
