If that's the type of musician you're into. I generally buy music off people I think put effort into their product. I've bought all of Paul Gilbert's stuff and dozens of Tom Waits items. I'd do it again. What they do with the cash is their business, not mine.

if i really like a band or singer i buy the actual CD. which works out for me anyway cause i like to see the artwork and read the liner notes.

if i just want to see if i like a band then i will DL it for free off the internet or whatever.

I get it off itunes because it's just so much easier... I don't feel like wasting space for CDs. A lot of them now make them available on their own site so apple doesnt take too much of the cut.
