Man charged with attempted homicide in south Allentown beating

A 38-year-old man allegedly assaulted a woman for two hours Sunday morning in south Allentown, at one point beating her in the face with a sex toy, according to court records.

Chris Dunbar, with no current address, sexually assaulted the 31-year-old woman during the ordeal that began around 2 a.m. Sunday, according to court records. He later ran out of a police cruiser while handcuffed and had to be subdued with a stun gun, police said.

Dunbar was interviewed at police headquarters on Sunday afternoon and told police he was unaware of his actions, instead blaming them on his alter-ego, "Christopher," according to court records.

He was charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, terroristic threats, simple assault and resisting arrest. He was arraigned by District Judge David M. Howells Jr. and sent to Lehigh County Prison under $700,000 bail.

According to a criminal complaint:

Allentown police were dispatched to a home on a report of a woman in distress. Police arrived and located the victim, who had lacerations on her face.

Police also located Dunbar, handcuffed him and placed him in a squad car. While in the car, Dunbar pulled the handcuffs under his legs. When an officer opened the door to re-handcuff him, Dunbar ran out and onto the street. When he wouldn't stop, a police officer used his Taser on him.

The victim told police Dunbar came to her home at 2 a.m. She said Dunbar chased away a man who was at the house and she locked herself in her bedroom.

Dunbar got inside the room and ripped the victim's clothes off and threatened to kill her. Dunbar sexually assaulted the victim and beat her with a sex toy. The victim said she began to lose consciousness when Dunbar attempted to fold her in half.

Dunbar allowed the victim to use the bathroom and she text messaged her friend and had her call police. The victim stayed in the bathroom until police arrived.

During a police interview, Dunbar said he suffers blackouts and blamed the assault on his alter-ego. Police said he had bite marks on his hand.

She continues, "Once I knew that this was my reality, I decided to be proactive."

37-year-old Jolie says she completed the 3 months of medical procedures on April 27. She will continue to document her experience on the website for the Pink Lotus Breast Center, where she was (and still is being) treated.
