It was a part of the era name of Taebong, one of the Later Three Kingdoms, declared by the king Gung Ye in 911. During the Joseon dynasty, Korea used cheonse (Hanja: 千歲; Hangul: 천세, literally "one thousand years") in deference to the Chinese emperor.
In the 20th century, various protests against Japanese occupation used the term in their names, including a pro-independence newspaper established in 1906, the March 1st Movement of 1919, and the June 10th Movement of 1926.
In North Korea, manse was used to wish long life for Kim Jong-il, and for the political principles of his father, Kim Il-sung.

Yes Koreans speak Korean.............and therefore would not shout Banzai.

So for watsonnostaw to suggest that Helen (Korean decent) would shout "Banzai" if she returned to the BB house is just ludicrous.

However your assertion that it would be no big deal for someone of Korean decent to use "Banzai" instead of the Korean equivalent is quite ridiculous and the sad thing is you know it.

It all stems from your uncontrollable need to take the opposite position from me, no matter what the topic is.

Here's an example, I'll make this statement " The Sun does not rise in the East" and you'll take issue with that, and somehow try to prove that it does.
