Well, Back on October 8 Ek conducted a "predict the season goal scoring contest" replete with prizes and a challenge aspect.

There were 20 head to head pairings. For example, Ovechkin vs Kessel, Larkin vs Gaudreau, etc. for a possible 20 points.

One could either just play for prizes, or also take on Ek head to head. If you won, you’d get a year's Season Ticket to the site. If HE won, you would have to buy a Season Ticket to the site or donate $20 to Hockey Fights Cancer….It took a while to tabulate from the amount of entries but we have a clear winner of a Customized NHL jersey:

Long time poster dadeadhead with an incredible 17 out of 20!

6 more posters got 16 correct, so we had to go to the tie breaker which yielded:

Phenom wins a copy of NHL17!

The remaining posters with 16 all get a HB.com T shirt!

I've thought about so many different ways to humiliate you and make you feel small for all of the nonsensical and immature comments that you make towards me, but then it occurred to me:


Why add to your misery? You're either very sick or you're simply very unhappy in life (or an unhealthy combination of both). You clearly hate yourself enough and I refuse to have any part in making it worse for you. Get well soon. Seek out the help that you need- I'm sure there's someone out there who cares for you, Rob.

And neither do you, WaterBoy, you disrespectful and insecure little man-child. You're going to learn to respect me, whether you like it or not. No more making fun of my family name, for instance- that kind of behaviour died in elementary school and frankly comes across as racist. Unless any of you plan on discussing the actual hockey topics that I write about, please stay the hell out of these forums. Do us ALL a favour.

Believe me, I'm versatile enough to be informative, opinionated (optimistic or pessimistic), provocative, a critical thinker while at times, simply reporting in what can come across as "boring" ways. I don't need to appease you in any way whatsoever.

i actually went to read one of his blogs for the first time. even blogs have higher standards than that. it's not even a journal entry, it's a nothing.

We rented a house when we had a hockey tournament. I was going to our house we rented from the bar but the police were there. I waited for like an hour and I almost passed out while waiting for the police to get out of the house. I didn't want to passed out outside so I decided to just go inside the house. I ask the police to take it outside because I wanted to sleep. The police resisted to get out, so I ask again to get out only this time with angry voice. The other police comes and touch my chest and I ask him if that's how he introduced himself to new people he mets. He thought I was gonna fight a woman and try to move me. I got offended because he thought I was trying to fight a woman. I grab both cops on their jacket like Hulk Hogan grabbing 2 Hebners. I had both police in my hand, I was pulling and pushing simultaneously the police who thought I was going to fight a woman. Then he tackle me. I put him in the headlock after he tackle me. I release him when I saw his gun. I didn't want him to shoot me. He thought he removed himself from the headlock, he put me down and 2 police were on top of me. I told them I can bench press over 200lbs and remove 2 cops from me. Then they got me on the ground again and 2 police got 1 arm each trying to arrest me. I was telling them they were just putting 70lbs pressure each on my triceps. I was having fun telling them it was good exercise. The other police pepper spray the people who were watching and put me in camel clutch. I couldn't used my voice anymore since he was bending me too much. It took 3 or 4 cops to arrest me. Some say 3, some say 4.
