I was thinking about it (not for very long because it's just obvious) but i'm very convinced you made up this marty rumor yourself. NO ONE in the inside would think about him being traded, and they know he is a devil for life. It just seems like a desperate attempt to get more hits and generate interest. Even if somebody did tell you this, you had to think this as well...that it is most definitely bs.
Now, addressing that "rumor" from a hockey standpoint, it just doesn't even make sense for either team. The devils are one of the top eastern conference teams who expect to make the playoffs and challenge for a spot in the cup finals (i don't care that they were one and done in these playoffs). This type of team will not let go of a goalie mainstay and one of the top 5-7 goalies in the league as of now, as they are not rebuilding. They also have nothing really behind marty that would really allow them to pursue this move without having to deal for or sign another capable goalie. This is a move a team that really wants to rebuild or realizes that they do not have a shot for a couple years would make. From a capitals standpoint, it doesn't make much sense either. Yes it would give them a better goalie and probably make them the favorites once again, but why make such a big deal for a goalie of his age who is obviously on the decline. You trade a young semin, who is a great offensive player( but expensive one) and get an aging marty who has shown he doesn't have the magic he used to have. There are other guys out there that can be had who are probably better right now and could give the caps more solid years.
Not to mention, IF the devils ever were to trade him, he would not be going to an Eastern conference team. There is no doubt about that. You especially don't trade a player of that magnitude with so much significance to your franchise to a team who is another top team in your conference. It is just pure stupidity.
Next time, try not to be so trigger happy about posting such ridiculousness. Stuff like this, in the end, is what makes people question your legitimacy. It's true public exposure and press is good for a person like you, but when you look back and realize that people commenting on this absurd trade rumor are just bashing it and telling you how ridiculous it is, that is not good for you. I know your job is to report "what you hear" and entertain us to a point ( in order to draw people and hits here) but I would suggest toning it down a bit and trying to up your image and trustworthiness to us.
I come on here mainly to talk hockey with people, which most others do as well, and don't really care much about what you say might be happening with team X or player Y. You should try aiming for the goal of having people coming on here because they really believe what you are saying.

Why yes, he out waited Huet, and was the better goalie, then he out waited another season of Jesus Christ Superstar, and didnt get a decent chance, thats 2 damn years he should have started and didnt. Do you realize how long the average NHL players career is? Finally when it became obvious they were never going to give him a chance until Jesus Price Superstar finally fell on his face, and here was Halak just winning all along. Finally he takes over the number 1 position and carries the habs on his back to the 3rd round of the playoffs, defeated the presidents trophy winners and the defending cup champs, and yet they were still going to go with Price. No phucking wonder he wanted to be traded i think he was far more then phucking patient about it...

Amen.
Today, was the worst day of my life.
They Montreal Canadiens organization has lost my loyalty, trust, and support.
Just like Halak lost it (for some godforasken reason).
I will always remember the Gainey/Gauthier era as the one that destroyed this franchise. Even Houle and Savard were better GM's. I HATE YOU PIERRE GAUTHIER, I HATE YOU BOB GAINEY. I swear we're going to find out one day that Gauthier and Gainey were secretly on the Toronto Maple Leafs payroll, and were brought in to bring us down from the inside out. That's why Komisarek signed in Toronto. - FitzLOL

Firstly, there are no holes in evolution and I challenge you to name a single one. There is no debate amongst scientists about whether or not the theory of evolution is factually true. There are debates about the details of how evolution has played out. For example, Stephen Jay Gould was a saltationist whereas someone like Richard Dawkins believes in the steady playing out of evolution. Neither of them would say evolution is in question. A missing link is not a hole in evolution, it's a hole in the fossil record.
Speaking of the fossil record, that's one of the many things that have vindicated evolution over the years as complete transitional fossils have been excavated. That is not the most convincing evidence for evolution however as the story that genetics tells us is much more impressive.
Gravity is a phenomenon which we explain with Einstein's theory of gravitation. He would be shocked to learn he never figured out the theory of gravitation, I'm sure. Biodiversity is a phenomenon and we have explained it through evolution, which actually is much less in question (in fact it isn't at all) than Einstein's theory of gravity (which cannot be reconciled with quantum mechanics). Yet nobody, ever just thinks the theory of gravity is simply a theory and is untrue.
I can tell you don't actually understand how genetic mutation, culled by natural selection works and I highly suggest you watch this video which obliterates all of the doubts you have expressed:
Ignore that he argues against ID in the video if that is not your stance. He addresses your arguments in this video. I also suggest reading The Blind Watchmaker which if understood would leave anyone doubtless about evolution.
As for your refusal to believe anything you have not sensed (which is naive), if you won't take their word for the evidence, I suggest you go verify it for yourself, which is entirely possible. I have never been to India but I believe people when they tell me it exists, partially because if it became an issue, I could visit it myself.
I really hope this gets to the epic posts thread. I've never had one on there. - Pikey
