It doesn't stop everyone, but it lowers the frequency and ease of use.

Abolishment is destruction. And of course it would have to happen everywhere.
And it is impossible.

But isn't it sad that the only reason we are not preventing thousands of murders a year, is becuase we (as a society) want to hunt for sport?
yes, same goes for drunk driving, drunk driving still happens becuase we enjoy a drink or two and are scared to get rid of it completely.
