Goddammit this blog sucks. I hate Eklund. I'm literally experiencing physical pain after reading this blog. Everything Eklund says in this blog is totally amateur and far from any truth.

I think what you all have failed to realize is Torontos master plan. Lets consider a few things shall we...

1) Do you really think a team this skilled can possibly keep losing games like this, unless theyre doing it on PURPOSE!?!?....well no, they are far too talented. You cant possibly convince me that all those experts were soooo far off in their thinking that they would place in the playoffs and be division champs. Clearly, the Leafs have some other agenda.

2) The Agenda: The Leafs have gotten sick and tired of being made fun of year after year and are at step 2 of 5 of becoming cup champs. Lets go over these steps.
Step 1. - Get new GM and coach, ged rid of 85% of current team and trade away all draft picks. ( DONE )
Step 2. - Pretend to really suck for a year in order to rid themselves of all poopy fans that arnt real fans and will go away after a bad season. ( In Progress )
Step 3. - Slowly work your way back up the standings, but in a way to not attract so many crappy fans again.
Step 4. - Challenge for the Cup
Step 5. - Win the Cup

So you see, I have been fortunate enough to have a personal friend working within the organization to reveal this master plan to me. And it all makes sense!! I was so upset with this team, ready to burn jerseys and threaten to never watch a game again, but theres hope! Apparently they are just faking it all!!
They are just getting rid of the tens of thousands of fake fans we seem to have in an attempt to be a respectful team again. So patience my fellow fans...this is all just a gimmick, I am sharing this with you all as I wish for you all to see the light at the end the tunnel! Its REAL dark, but its there, just look!.....

Really? Try again, they are already gone. You own a club like this one, and you can get into a building with a sweetheart lease, and 10000 to 12000 season tix holders day 1. The building is brand new, so new that they are building it without even a prospective tenant, why cause they want an NHL Club. Hello Quebec!

So what do you do, well lets see, first you do what you can to create fan apathy in your previous home. Like carrying a player on the active roster who, oh thats right just went home to Europe for the holidays!!! What? but he counts against the cap! Hence when your d got banged up in California you couldn't even call a guy up. You can't move anyone cause that would lower you below the floor.

But that is just the tip of the iceberg of this titanic! I know lets play rap music before the game, because hockey fans are the target audience of so many rap musicians. Season ticket holders of this team I am sure demanded that. Speaking of music, how about the biggest buzz-kill goal song EVER on any level. I have never heard a building go so quiet after a home team goal . This is why players don't pick the goal song, Christ ranger fans sing theirs at our building and it is louder and better received.

How about the building itself, such as the fact that in the 300's your feet stick so badly to the floor that you have to make a concerted effort to move them after the national anthem! Disgusting but true. How about selling tickets to walk ups that are already owned by season ticket holders, true again! Notice I did not pick on any of the players, not one, cause you know that they are athletes with pride, but management has to do better and sorry but you have to spend!

How about our coverage? College Radio? What are you kidding? Long Islands only professional sports franchise and half the Island can't hear it on the radio. How is Howie Rose still here? He doesn't care!!! This goes by without so much as a shrug? Listen to other teams, some of their announcers bleed when their teams lose, or at least show some concern. Howie is a talented play by play guy, but if he doesn't care that much, he should start his Mets prep now!

This organization is the Cleveland Indians in Major League, except no pennant, no turnaround. The lease here will run out, and if I owned them I would move them also. But if I owned them, none of the rant above would happen.

Disney should buy this organization, because they are the biggest Mickey Mouse group I have ever seen! Yet I will still root for them, god help me!

Picture this: Last game of the season for the Flames. It's a fan appreciation night whereby all the players give their jerseys to fans. For some reason, Darryl Sutter is on the ice wearing a Flames jersey as well. The last two people to give away their jerseys are Darryl and Jokinen.

Simultaneously, they take off their jerseys only to reveal that they are wearing Edmonton Oilers sweaters. Laughing maniacally, they say that they have been working for the Oilers all along.

Well? How was that for having their asses handed to them, by the two Pennsylvania teams? Getting beat 2 - 1 in the faceoff dot just reinforced what most of the Leafs fans knew before the season; Leafs do not have a first line centre and Bozak, Grabovski and Kadri where not the answer. Burke did nothing. Now were back in the lottery and Boston wins again. Wilson still has his job, ticket prices are still too high and the Leafs fans are being fleeced.
