The idea that Toronto is too impatient to rebuild is laughable. They'll sell-out no matter if it's a contending team, or a terrible team in re-build mode. Teams that lose attendance based on poor teams are who have to worry about rebuilding. The Leafs are safer than any NHL team in that regard.

We usually do rise up the ranks a little bit after we've all but been mathematically eliminated so it's entirely possible.

If you were old enough to know the history of Harrold Ballard you wouldn't be saying this.

There is simply not a bigger example of fan loyalty than the Leafs during the 20+ years of Ballard ownership.

My point is, good team or not, if there's a 20,000 capacity building to sell and with 5.5 million people in the GTA, that means 0.3% of the population has to feel like going to a hockey game to sell the building out. 0.3%, in a Canadian market.
