Get a clue. He just finalized his contract the other day. He's playing tonight.

Don't worry, perhaps after a few seasons with the marlies, Nylander might have a shot at making the leafs after Kessel gets tired of the spotlight, and the pressure of not winning anything in toronto other than the doughnut eating contests, and asks to be traded.

Maybe you should get Bobby Ryan eating doughnuts. Maybe he'll improve.

How's the sCORSIboard though. Sens fans have always told me that's the most important thing. I assume it must look great for the Sens after being dominated by Panthers.

Nylander has not even suited up for a single game this season, so far with Modo. Perhaps tonight?

Don't worry about Lazar, GM Murray has stated that Lazar will have to play himself off the team, to lose his spot of the roster.

Now I believe that's what he's going to say regardless after Lazar winning a roster spot, for nine games IMO, and I know for a fact that you've seen exactly zero seconds of Lazar's two NHL games so far, and have no idea of what you're talking about ( see Ryan won't ever sign with Senators) ................ but Lazar has shown he belongs in the NHL now, while I doubt Nylander will be on the leafs roster next season, or even the season after that.........................unless the leafs get rid of some of their smallish forwards to make room for Nylander who is maybe 170 pounds soaking wet.

They passed on 230 pound Nick Ritchie, who is playing in the OHL, a league that prepares young players for the NHL, whereas the SHL does not

You gotta think they're happy to have him back. Even though he's playing like men, unlike other kids in his draft class, he'll be a pretty big contributor I'm sure. first game back, he pots one.

One more than Bobby Ryan so far.

@Hope_Smoke: Nylander took the puck on a 2 on 1, waited for the D to go down, went around him and put it top shelf over the goalies glove hand.

I like hope dopes thinks that is a bad omen that nylander has yet to (until today) play in the shl this year........ Ignore that this is the first game he's been eligible for.

Not bad, first game back (in a men's league), and he pots the game winner. Well done.

Are you nuts?

Lazar has made the Senators roster, for at least 9 games, and then should IMO get sent back to junior (only other option). He clearly won a spot on the team due to his off season work and on his performance at camp.

Nylander on the other hand did not make the leafs, nor was he expected to as he is 15 months younger and at least two years away from where Lazar is now in his development for the NHL.

Nylander should have been sent to the marlies by the leafs, but they decided to send him home to Sweden where his mommy can tuck him in every night, and to play in the no contact league aka the SHL and of course................................to save his life

- Doppleganger

Just curious... Do you honestly think parroting the senile old man is making your argument stronger?

Because it really does say a lot about your hockey knowledge, but nothing good.

I dont think any Leafs fan will be worried about Lazar. Outside of Karlsson, there's nothing on the Sens that any fan outside of Ottawa would be worried about.

And even karlsson. The puck is more likely to end up in the sens net with him on the ice.

Nice goal too.

@coreypronman: Purty goal by Nylander-TOR in first SHL game around 2:00 mark of video. Played center as well nearly 80% on the draw. http://www.shl.se/shl-arena/38918/

Does the NHL rank their teams by points and points percentage or sCORSIboard?

It would seem that you, and the other leaf fans in this thread are completely obsessed with the Senators.

But I get it.

The Senators have finished ahead of the leafs in the standing in all but 2 of the last ten years, and the Senators have made the playoffs 6 times in the last 9 seasons to the leafs 1 time.

So it's natural for your inferiority complex when it comes to the Dominant team in the Province for about the last decade, when the leafs have so little to point to as success on the ice.

So in order to feel good, please tell me about how much money leaf nation has funnelled into he pockets of the leafs owners.

With revenue sharing the way it is, the help we give you in sellinh tickets when the leafs are in tiwn (along with the habs), and the lack of interest and support in the senators, you should be more thankful that we enable you to have your team.

So according to the amount of revenue generated by the leafs, for their owners and whatever else you want, has that helped the leafs make the playoffs more than once since 2005?

I think you misunderstood. I was saying you show more gratitude to the people that allow you to have the franchise you're a fan of.

I bet Kansas city would be more grateful.
