I'll be reading this. Sanderson is a great author. I discovered him when I heard he was taking over for Robert Jordan and I ended up reading most of his work. He is very original with his different magic systems and whatnot. Mistborn series is pretty good, Elantris was a great book (although I haven't bothered reading the sequel yet), and I enjoyed Warbreaker too.
I don't really go in for superhero books much, but recently read the 4 books out for the "Confessions of a D list Supervillain" series by Jim Bernheimer. The author has a nice sense of humor I find really entertaining. Books aren't too long, but fairly cheap for Kindle on Amazon. A nice light read when you just want a laugh and a bit of action rather than deep thoughts.
P.S. I see a few are considering the Wheel of Time series. I got started on it in grade 9 and it took until I was around 30 before it was finished (by Sanderson after Jordan passed away from exhaustion - gotta be tiring writing all those massive 1000 page books). I really enjoyed the series, but man, its a lot of reading. |

i gave up on wheel of time after the third or fourth book. each one was less entertaining than the last and i just didn't have the gumption to keep going.
starting to reread the golden compass as i heard he is doing a prequel.

Wheel of Time definitely becomes a slog right in the middle for a while. I almost abandoned it but the payoff is huge when it starts to ramp up again somewhere around book 6. |
