good books? My cousin said that they were worth a read. - Grape Ape
Absolutely worth the read if you are into epic fantasy. There is a lot going on but Erikson manages to keep it flowing along.
Ian Esslemont wrote a couple of books for this series as well. Night of Knives and Return of the Crimson Guard. Night of Knives you can actually read before the first Erikson book Gardens of the Moon, which is a slow book but still worth reading. Return of the Crimson Guard should be read between Reaper's Gale and Toll the Hounds. |

I liked George RR Martins A song of fire and ice, but I've lost all faith in him ever finishing the series, he's just too old, too fat and too lazy. Really a shame. I grew up on Michael Moorcock, Fritz Leiber, Edgar Burroughs and Doc Smith. - Grape Ape
I haven't read the Martin books. I got my start with Dragon Lance, and I've been reading Jordan, Erikson, Hobb, Novik, too many others to count. Karen Miller is good as well, she also writes under K. E. Mills. Patrick Rothfuss's The Name of the Wind is an amazing book as well. NOTW is the first book of the Kingkiller Chronicles and book two The Wise Man's Fear is due out in March. |

If A Song of Fire and Ice ever gets finished make sure to read it, the first four are some of the best books I have ever read. But don't start reading until they are done or you will go (frank)ing crazy like I have. - Grape Ape
dunno how crazy I'd be about reading a series that involves a one armed swordsman bangin' his sister |

My absolute favorite.Apparently he wrote the next one already but it was too long so he had to split it into two and ran into editing problems. I want to read the next one so (frank)ing much. |

In all fairness he does most of his sister (frank)ing before he loses his arm to the Brave Companions. His sister Cersei is one of the most evil and vicious female genitalias that has ever been written. |

Meh, he often says reasonable things. I just don't like him when he's super duper partisan.
