Poor Burke. How could he get fooled like that. Instead of having a dman with a wonky knee he's stuck with a top end forward prospect. Damn you Murray |

Thanks for confirming what I said, your link shows that the Leafs, Kings and Blues are tied at 42 seasons
And to further solidify that point, the Blackhawks do not appear on the list at all, but by your logic their drought should be listed at 1 week. - BlueBloodPat
Explain why the leafs are at the top of the list then.

It's not like they're numbered. Someone has to be at the top. But the side clearly shows that there is a three way tie. |

Yes they are numbered by virtue of being at the top of the list (number one).
If not, then why not Alphabetically?
Show me another list with the Kings or Blues at the top.
In any case, there is not any team currently in the NHL that has a longer drought than the leafs.
Arguing if they are tied with two other teams that did not even exist when the leafs won their last Cup is immaterial to that fact.
You and other like-minded leaf fans can have a little solace if you like, by sharing the title with the two other teams......but it will not make the leafs any better on the ice than the Blues and the Kings next season, who by the way will be both selecting in the first and second rounds of the upcoming draft.

Explain why the Wild are listed ahead of Columbus then. That's not in alphabetical order either. You're looking into this way too much. Lets face it, the Leafs are in a three way tie for the drought. There's no way around it. They are alone with the longest cup final drought, but are tied with their cup drought. |

Here is my issue with the article you are referring to it is a WIKIPEDIA article meaning anyone can update it meaning that anyone who wants to can put the leafs at the top of that list if I cared enough I could go change the article and have the leafs at number 3 so what is your point that the leafs are one someone decided that they would do it in that order and therefore it is in that order not because the leafs are "longest" its more likely that they are just most important lol

As some leaf fans love to point out, the Senators have only been in the NHL since 1992...............and they don't recognize the 10- Stanley Cup Banners hanging at SBP......

Ok then you right now as a sens fan tell me is it either
A your team has the longest Cup draught
or
B your team has never won the cup
either way I prefer the leafs having won it last in 67 |

Here's your long draught.
Ottawa has had two teams that combined, have won the Stanley Cup 11 times.
The Ottawa Silver Seven, and the Ottawa Senators (original) 1903, 1904, 1905, 1906, 1909, 1910, 1911, 1920, 1921, 1923, 1927.
The current team has yet to win a Cup to add to the total of Eleven that Ottawa has won as a City. |

Fine the current ottawa senators have NEVER won a cup and the city of ottawa has gone the longest with out winning the stanley cup since it's inception as the NHL championship trophy (when was the last time any ottawa team won anything?) |
